I just came off BC pills last week. I’m so nervous and excited an altogether impatient.
@LAZB: I completely agree. We are in the process of buying a house but so far we are kind of in a stand still spot so I have not too much to keep my mind from wondering and thinking about what could go wrong, etc.
Also, I’m super nervous about how my body is going to react to coming of the BC pills. I’m only “kinda” charting; I don’t want to be any more obsessive than I already am about things.

So excited to see so many ladies joining the thread. Good luck to those who will be POAS soon! Who is TTC #1? We are, and we’re so excited but definitely have moments of sheer terror!
@smores: This would be our first. We don’t have any children yet. We are also excited too, but have moments of fear as well. A good friend of mine says this is absolutely normal. 🙂

Our first as well! I’m super pumped, but it doesn’t feel “real” just yet. I’m sure it will and then I’ll freak out a little bit!

@DaneLady: So obviously I’m no expert, but I have heard that heavy running needs to be scaled back during pregnancy. I have read that you should not be super winded, but that easy jogs/runs are okay. This is something I will definitely talk to my doctor more about when the time comes! My plan is to get in as great shape as I can before, then try my best to maintain/stay somewhat active during. Good luck!

@dickinson: aha, thanks 🙂 I should probably talk with a doc before we actively start TTC. I am a marathoner, and for the most part, I’m not winded at all during half marathons or full. I run those slowly enough that I can maintain a conversation most of the race. It’s only 10k and 5k races that I really “race”… but I didn’t know to what extent running those distances would stress my body out. Let me know what your doc says since you’ll be “boppin” sooner than me!!

@DaneLady: We are getting married in August too but it’s so hard to wait that long!! We will probly start trying the month before, I’d love to be a few weeks along at the wedding, Just not showing. Not that I’m expecting it to happen the first month.
Im worried about daycare a bit, here in CA it’s about 700-800 a month for newborns. $1000 if you want kinder care.
Thankfully my Fiance and I both havegreat insurance, $70 a month, which covers all dependents..
ETA: we have a 4 year old daughter already starting kindergarten this fall, and we don’t want them to be too far apart.

We are starting to TTC in June!! I’m mostly excited, but some days I’ll think of something and it will freak me out for a day and then I’m back to excited.
I have just over two weeks of BC left and I can’t believe how fast this last pack has come up since we officially decided in March.
For the first few months we will just see what happens, but I think come fall if nothing has happened then I will start to chart. I’m reading TCOYF currently and learning lots.
This will be baby #1. When we decided we were going to try we agreed that we wouldn’t tell anyone as we don’t want pressure put on us. Both of us almost immediately told a handful of people. I think our parents our the only ones we haven’t actually told. But I like to be able to talk to people about it as I’m just too excited.

We’re not trying/not preventing ahhhhhh!!! We decided to just leave it up to God after the wedding which was two weeks ago. Exciting but scary!!

We’re starting to try in June again. We started last year but put it off due to cycle issues and a holiday we were planning to NYC for Christmas. I couldn’t be more excited! I can’t believe next month we can try….. I know it could take awhile but just being able to try is enough! haha

What are you ladies doing to get ready? I jsut decided to start the 30 day shred, and get in better shape. I had a bit of a melt down on Tuesday, and decided I need to loose about 15-20 lbs. So that’s what I’m concentrating on while I wait for my bloodwork to get to the doc, and I can be put on clomid to get ovulating.
Also- slowly trying to clean junk out of the house. Teh future nursery is currently a gust bed/storage room that has all sorts of stuff from DH’s sports stuff to left over wedding decor, and our laundry/drying room. I need to find a place to put it all!

We’re starting this month! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEk. No one knows but all the bees. So excited! We were going to wait until the fall but we’re getting antsy. So hoping we get a quick BFP! <3
Post # 44
@anotherbee: I am already pretty healthy and super active, but I could definitely clean up my diet a bit. I would like to cut down on caffeine. I limit myself to one cup each morning, but I am sure I could try half caf/half decaf and step down from there. I also plan to start taking a prenatal or at the very least a folic acid supplement starting next month. We aren’t actively TTC until August (maybe July- I know basically nobody every gets it right the first month!) so I still have some time to work on my diet.
Good luck! Go get that BFP 🙂 We only told a few close friends (like 4 people) because if I am preggers by the wedding we’ll need a few people who can hand me “fake” drinks, as we don’t want to tell anyone until after the first few months. It will be really hard to hold it in, but that’s why we have the Bee! We can spill it all here and release some of that energy!

I think we will be! That’s the plan at least. 🙂
I comment on these posts so I can go back and follow the other Bees who will probably be joining the TTC/Pregnancy/Babies boards along with me.

I will be starting after my wedding at the end of June!
