I’m old as the hills. I was born at the time of Kennedy’s assassination but have no memory of a president until Nixon. My parents were political at that time and VERY anti-Nixon but we lived in a totally Republican town so there was only one other girl in my class who didn’t like Nixon. It was nice when Watergate came out.

I’d have been 8 when Bill Clinton was elected so that’s the first one I remember. Also I’m Canadian tho. First Prime Minister I remember clearly was Jean Cretien.

Pretty sure the only reason I remember Bill is because of the scandal… I remember Cretien because my family always watched This Hour Has 22 Minutes and he was on it / made fun of on it a lot lol (in a respectable way tho)

I’m a youngin lol. The first president I remember is George W Bush. He became president when I was 6 years old so I didn’t pay much attention to politics before then.

I am old as dirt, and the President upon my birth was Dwight D Eisenhower. But the first President I was aware of is John F Kennedy.

He & Jackie lost their third child, and in my Catholic school it was a big deal.

Reagan. My first political memory was the 1984 election in which Ferraro was the VP candidate for the Democrats…over 30 years later, and we still haven’t elected a woman to be Pres/VP.

Clinton was elected when I was three. My parents are pretty into politics and the news was always on in our house so he’s the first president I remember.

George H.W. Bush took office when I was 4… my first memories of a president would be his campaign for a second term & Bill Clinton with the saxophone.

Anonymous1063 :  I am old enough to remember Clinton, but I can’t say that I do. I am pretty sure I remember newspapers showing the scandal, but I can’t say I knew what a president was or why it mattered. I definitely remember my parent’s devastation when Bush won.

George H. W. was the first president I remember, even though I was born while Reagan was in office.

I have distinct memories in 5th grade of Bill’s scandal and learning what a president was. Was able to vote in the 2004 elections (had just turned 18 a month prior).

I was born during the Carter administration, but the first president I actually remember was Reagan. I remember when he was shot.
