We will not be doing one and I will not be wearing one. We are not doing the bouquet toss either. I just don’t feel comfortable having my Fiance crawling up my gown in front of our family and friends, and for the bouquet toss, I don’t feel comfortable picking on all the singles.

I wore one but we totally forgot to do it. I wasn’t a big fan of the idea anyway.

we did it, but my husband barely lifted my dress up! me & my family are christians & i had alot of church family there, lol..

We are definitely not going to do the garter toss so I won’t be wearing one. Instead of doing the bouquet toss, we are going to have an anniversary dance and give the bouquet to the oldest couple left on the dance floor. I think that will be sweet and better than embarrassing our single friends.

It’s so good to hear of your ideas on the subject. I may just tell him we can have a “private” removal of the garter after the wedding is over…winkey winkey!

I’m all about tradition. It’s tradition to wear a garter, and it’s tradition for your husband to take it off you and toss it. So I’m doing this for sure! It will be fun!

Oh and By The Way
It would also be fun to make the girl that caught the bouquet and the guy who caught the garter to dance together, but IDK if I’m doing that.

I’m going to wear a garter but we’ll be removing it privately as well 🙂

Well at my wedding there will seriously be only one or two at max women who aren’t married. One is my maid of honor.
I am seriously considering walking over to her and just handing her the bouquet but I don’t want to p*ss off her longtime boyfriend (who needs to get a ring!).

Lol bellenga, I wont be doing a garter, I seriously cant be bothered. lol

Omg! This was one of the best parts of my wedding, It was hilarious! I wore 2 garters, and made my hubby take it off with his teeth, I Have pic of all the groomsmen up around him hollering at him and I was just dying laughing in the pictures it looks like some of them are trying to help him get it off, It was sooo funny, I would definetly do it again, Its kinda a tradition in my family anyway, i watched my mom do the same thing at her wedding and always knew i wanted to do it too,

We’re doing it…in fact Fiance is looking forward to it, lol

Absolutely not. To me, it just feels like there’s something a little gross about your groom going fishing up your dress in front of all your friends and family.

We are going to! Actually, my Future Father-In-Law decided that we will! haha! i’m excited for it though! 🙂

We’re not doing it and I’m not wearing one (boo! They’re so pretty!). It helps that I’m wearing a short dress and it would look a bit tart-ish if you caught a flash of garter every time I sit down or go up some stairs or something!
