I want to walk in by myself or with my fiance, but it’s going to break my mom’s heart if she can’t walk me down the aisle 🙁

@BridetoBee2010 – I hadn’t even thought about having my mom stand to give me away but I absolutely love that idea! My dad is walking me but I think I might totally steal your idea!

My maternal grandfather is walking me down the aisle. I never knew my actual father (and he passed away five years ago) so my grandpa filled the role of "father" most of my life anyway. So this will be my way of honoring him.

My 7 year old daughter and 8 year old son are walking me down the aisle.  I’m really excited about it.

Personally I’d rather walk myself down the aisle.  This is my second marriage and I’ve been independant for years.  My other option would be to have my daughters walk me down.  However, since I eloped the first time I feel an obligation to let my dad walk me down, so I’ll have both of my parents do it.

My mom asked if she could walk with my dad and I, which is customary in Jewish weddings.  I was raised Jewish but I am having a Christian wedding, however I adore my mother and I thought this was a great way to include her.  After all, I would never marry someone she didn’t love, so it fits that she should be an equal part of "giving me away"

My mom’s walking me down the aisle. My dad hasn’t been the picture at all for over 15 years, so it was an easy choice 🙂 If my mom wasn’t around, it would have been my uncle.

My husband walked down the aisle with his mom and dad, and I walked with both my parents, too.

I’m planning on having my mum & dad walk me down the aisle. The first time I saw both parents escort the bride was at my friend’s Jewish wedding a few years ago and I knew then that was what I would be doing.

My mom raised me and has been my rock — she’s the only person I could think of having right there with me.
