Can you suggest that they have the cake at the rehearsal dinner?

Just a thought…

Or you could go all southern and have a groom’s cake (see Steel Magnolias for further examples of this). It can be super-small, and nobody will pay any attention to it.

Groom’s cakes used to be fruitcakes that were cut up and sent home with the guests as favors.

Uugh I hate when cakes look better than they taste.  I am getting into the cake thing and I put flavor first even if it has to compromise the look, but when using fondant it dosn’t.  I don’t see why she wouldn’t use it, it’s just a million times easier than decorating with icing.

Yeah go with whoever you want, you’re paying just ignore them.  And yeah I feel like I just had WWIII this weekend but I don’t think it was the worst of it.
