Our fluffy poodle slept by our bed on the floor until his 1st birthday when we decided we wanted him to snuggle on the bed with us at night 🙂 hehe.
Now he sleeps either between us or next to me on our king bed and I love it (although I think the fact he doesn’t shed any hair helps, I don’t think I would like animal hair in my bed, but that’s just me!)
Does anyone else let doggy on the bed at night?

I can’t imagine my dogs not sleeping with me. My dog, Bailey, lays right up next to me; while my dog Carmen sleeps at my feet.

When Fiance and I lived separately, our respective dogs slept in our beds. But they got kicked out if a) they were impeding human snuggle abilities, or b) if there was any hanky-panky being done.
I let them in the bed occasionally if Fiance comes home late or something. Not since the flea issue though 🙁 See other post.

When we lived in our own apartments we both let our dogs sleep by us. (I have a pug and he has a black lab mix). In fact, when I would stay over at his place his lab would make this really long irritated sigh when he realized I would be sleeping in “his spot”.
When we moved in together we let them sleep with us but it got to just be too crowded. So we kicked them out. They have a huge doggie bed in front of our bed that they both sleep in. My pug took it the hardest(anyone that has a pug knows they HAVE to be by you at all times). He started pooping on the carpet to let us know his thoughts on the new sleeping arrangements. He stopped for a very long time and now he must be pissed about something else cause he just started poopin on the kitchen floor while we are asleep or gone(they have access to a doggie door so he knows to go out).

I do, I do! I love when he sleeps on the bed. He doesn’t so much at night anymore, but he always gets up with us really early in the morning. He’ll either lay on top of me or squeeze in the middle. He’s so snuggly all the time though.

Well we used to crate them at night and were in agreement that they would not sleep with us. Then my Fiance started going on business trips and I felt lonely and let them sleep with me when he was gone. Then that turned into them sleeping with us on weekend so we could have morning snuggles.
Now they sleep with us every night. At least we put our foot down for the first couple of years. 😛

*Slowly raises hand*
He doesn’t stick around for long, though. He usually jumps off after awhile and goes to sleep on his own bed.

I try to get my dog to sleep with me but she prefers her crate lol. She’ll snuggle for a while and then she’ll jump down and go straight into her crate. Though for the first few months we had her she would sleep in our bed all night.
She will sometimes sleep with me all night when Darling Husband is on business trips, so I think she just feels too crowded with us both in bed. 🙂

Our dog had his first night on our bed last night!! When he was a pup, he would turn into spawn of satan at night if he wasn’t crated. He liked to moan and talk while eating/chewing on the wooden box springs underneath the bed and if he jumped up , he would bite our feet.
Now he just plops down but its been a training process of letting him take “naps” alone in the room on the bed, and then transition lights off with us on the bed 😉

We are trying very hard to break our dogs away from this habbit. We’ve always let them sleep in the bed until just recently. My SO decided that he just doesn’t want to share anymore. My dog isn’t that bad, as he normally just sleeps on top of the covers near the foot of the bed. His dog on the other hand, sleeps under the covers, right between us. She’s always cockblockin.

Hahaha cockblocking! I love it!
I think it’s so cute having my doggy next to me. This morning I woke up and his head was next to mine on the pillow! Just adorable 🙂

We have a Cat that can’t sleep with us. She’s sooo bad. If your foot moves she’ll run up and bite toes, pounce, etc. Or you’ll wake up feeling suffocated to see an enormous cat standing on your chest, 3cm from your face. It scares the shit out of you, haha.
I’m pretty sure if we had a dog it would be sooo much better behaved than my kitty

We sleep with our Cattle Dog Cross. He either curls up at my feet, is in the middle or in the middle of the night crawls into Greg’s side.
I wake to this every morning he is a sooky dog.
