I have decided that I am going to make it a goal of mine to train as if I were going to enter a fitness competition. I don’t know if I have the guts to go on stage but definitely want the body.
As of yesterday I started weight training again with my trainer and OMG 2 hours later I felt like I had more energy than when I started. I felt great and I probably could have ran another 1.5 miles.
Are there any other bees here that love to work out?

I do! I like to run, although I have to do it on a treadmill because I had knee surgery and it hurts to run on rough surfaces. But I usually go to the gym about 4 days a week, run for 45 minutes and then work out another part of the body for 30. It’s really energizing and I feel great! I’ll do P90X on days I don’t go to the gym.

I do :o) I’m training for a half-marathon right now and with every mile I get closer to my goal, it’s so exciting! It makes me feel accomplished, healthy, and confident. That sounds sort of lame, but it’s true :o)

I’m glad I’m not alone.
Planning to run 2 miles today and work out biceps today. My legs are still burning from balancing on the upside down bosu ball.

I do like working out, but I also have a tough time motivating myself sometimes. Once I’m doing, I feel I could keep going for two hours. But getting out for that run or getting my butt to the gym is often another story 🙂 I usually try to think about how great it makes me feel, and I find the more often I go, the more I actually want to go.

i LOVE working out…ive been told that i turn into a mean Biatch if i dont get my endorphin fix from working out, and its true!!! lol. my newest fascination has been runnning 5k’s on the treadmill for the past few weeks, trying to shave seconds off my time with each run!

I love working out! But once I take a few days/week off, it’s SO HARD to go back. I really make a habit of it, and the adrenaline/feeling becomes addicting.
I’m going back today….first day (not counting a few elliptical workouts while on business travel for lack of things to do) back at my own gym.
If you don’t take a break in the first place, you’re good!
I read a tip in a magazine and it always helps: MAKE yourself go. Tell yourself that by the time you get there, if you want to come home, come home. But 99% of the time you’ll stay b/c you’re there already.
Sometimes i cut my work out short b/c I don’t feel like being there, but more often than not, once I start, I’m good to go!
Also, I sleep better when i work out. No working out lately=lots of getting up in the middle of hte night.

I’m a cyclist returning from an accident. I LOVE to work out…most days. I do a lot of strength training, and running to compliment my cycling. I scheudle 6x per week workouts, knowing that life usually gets in the way for one or two every week.
And cycling is cheaper than therapy.

I’ve just come back from day 2 of trying to reach my fitness competition self. The trainer told me I need to gain about 20-25 lbs. 1.75 mile run for warm up. Cow bell squats, walking lunges, leg curls…now to down a protein shake, yuck!

I’m curious to know what times of day those of you who get energized by it, work out. I ask because I do like going to the gym (like someone else said it’s hard getting started but once I’m there and after I’m done I’m VERY happy – but I’m also VERY TIRED. It could be because I’m usually at the gym for at least 90 minutes (1 hour working out, then shower, etc.) after working a long day.
Are you going in the morning?
I asked my trainer about it, he says I might not be eating enough carbs (I try not to eat any after lunch, and I almost always succeed). Even on nights I do have carbs for dinner, I’m still just exhausted afterward.
