Met on Match in 2013 – although we saw each other there in 2012 but tried dating other people. First date was in July and we’ve been attached at the hip ever since.
Got married earlier this year and when we tell people we met online everyone looks at us like we’re crazy… like there’s still the stigma of only ugly, weird, unsuccessful people go online for dating. Well it’s for people with their own lives, friends and hobbies too!

I met my Fiance on Tinder, though both of us tried other dating sites before with no luck. We both joined Tinder as a joke, but it worked! I was pretty much fed up with all of the creepy guys I had matched with on Tinder, so I actually ignored his first message, but he messaged me again saying that he saw on my profile that I was a Christian and wondered where I went to church at – so I decided to give it a shot.
Our dating timeline is really similar to yours! We met online in late June of 2015, met in person 2 weeks later, and started “officially” dating in late July. He proposed this summer on July 15th, and we are getting married in May of next year!

My husband and I met on POF. Funny story though, I made a profile on there because my ex was on there too, I thought it might make him mad. My husband was the 2nd date I had gone on from POF. Luckily we both joined around the same time. We casually talked for a couple months. We began officially dating February of 2013, at first we didn’t want to tell people that is how we met but decided who cares and told everyone anyway. I moved in with him December of that year. In August of 2014 he proposed to me. And a year ago on October 3rd we became husband and wife. I have never been so happy. Congratulations to you! I wish you many more happy years together!!

Your story matches 100% with mine lol.
We met on POF. I’d done plenty of online dating before so no biggie for me. It was his first time. We both had just signed up for the website within the last couples of weeks when we met (so instant luck). We dated for exactly 4 years before getting engaged in April and we’re getting married next April.
We have no problems telling people how we met. It’s actually pleasant to see so many other POF couples. Everyone else that I know has had HORRIBLE luck on the website or sees it as just a “hook-up” website.

We met on match.com. I had just moved to the area and I didn’t know anyone. I chatted with a couple guys from the website, but he was the first and only one I met up with. We’ve been together for 4 1/2 years and we’re getting married in 3 weeks! I know so many successful relationships that started online. My boss who is married, my coworker who has been dating her guy for over a year, AND my little sister-and her and her boyfriend just moved in together. Its really great, and totally doesn’t have the stigma that it used to have.

We met on Tinder. My friend told me about this new dating app on New Years Eve and I decided to give it a shot. We first spoke on january 2nd, and we met the next day .On january 4th He had to go back to Chicago where he works. He was on vacation in Montreal to see his family during Christmas time. Here we are almost 3 years later engaged and in love! As soon as we get married we’ll start the immigration procedure. It has been really hard for us because it’s a long distance relationship but I dont regret anything 🙂

We met on match.com last Labor Day weekend! I was on there all of 2 days! He was my second and last person I met off of there!
Funny thing is I had him automatically filtered out based on his age (too young!) His message was in my trash box and I decided to open it and the rest was history. Sometimes when we fight he asks me if I regret pulling him from the trash. 😂

We met on Tinder Nov 2014, were inseparable by the 2nd date. Moved in together Nov 2015, engaged July 2016 and will be married in Dec!
We both had POF and Tinder accounts and he sent me this really thoughtful message on POF that just kind of got lost in the shuffle and I ended up never responding. I’m SO thankful we both “swiped right”! He is my perfect match, my partner, and my best friend!

I met my DH online, but not on a dating site. We were both huge fans of the Redwall book series as kids, and first met on a role playing website. I was 10 and he was 13. 5 years later we reconnected and started talking on AIM, fell in love, and endured a long distance relationship from Florida to North Carolina through both high school and college (with my parents disapproving the whole time). He moved up here last year and we got married two months ago. Dreams do come true. 🙂

I met my Fiance on OkCupid last October (2015). I had been on and off the site for a few months, and wasn’t really taking it seriously anymore. He messaged me a short but thoughtful message, we messages for about two days, then had our first date at a coffee shop at the end of the week.
We got engaged in April, he moved in end of May, and we are getting married next August (2017) so about 1year 10months from our first date. We are so happy we found each other!
Whats funny is he only joined OKC because one of his coworkers had met his now-FI on there (they got engaged around 7months of dating). My Fiance joined, met me, and then his other coworker joined and is now dating a girl he met on there for about 9 months.

We met on Tinder!
A coworker actually convinced me to get on the app. Previously I had thought it was just a hookup app for fuckboys, but my coworker said she knew TWO couples who met on there and were either engaged or married. So I got on very hesitantly and, after almost a year of guys who -yes, seemed to be using it only as a hookup app- I was JUST about ready to pull the plug when I matched with SO.
It happened as a fluke, after my roommate convinved me to widen my age preferences a LOT just to see what I would match with. We spent some time that night at the bar giggling over all the “youngins” who were swiping right on a 31 year old woman. When I matched with SO, I even took a screenshot of his profile and texted it to my friend with eyeroll emojis because he was gorgeous, 4 years younger than me, and his profile definitely made him seem like a fuckboy.
Surprisingly, he hooked me with the very first conversation. He was obviously deeply sensitive and thoughtful, and seemed to be looking for the same things I was looking for. Turns out, the profile was the product of a friend of his, because he had just gotten back on Tinder after a long hiatus and wasn’t sure what to put in his profile (and didn’t really care.)
We pretty much knew from date 1, have been inseperable ever since.
I knew he was the real deal when he went on a pre-scheduled trip to Mexico with a big group of friends only a few weeks after we met and kept in constant contact with me the whole time, and even surprised me with some Triple Wood Laphroaig when he got back!

I’m so glad to see this board! We met on Tinder, of all places. Lol! All of our friends know, but our parents are all too conversative to share that much information with. We matched, talked for two weeks, went on a date at a restaurant and stayed there for 5 hours. After that, we were inseparable. Turns out we had a few mutual friends and both work in the legal profession. He checks off boxes I didn’t know even existed. We got engaged after 11 months of dating. When you know, you know. Best decision I ever made was downloading that app!

My fiance and I met on Tinder as well! Everyone knows – and almost every person as responded with “Oh my gosh, I love that!” Whether or not they are excited or being patronizing is not important to me lol.
We met IRL a week later at Starbucks…that was two years ago and two weeks ago we got engaged!
