I’ve had a few comments saying that mine is small, but its exactly what I’ve always wanted. I think it is the perfect size for me. ๐Ÿ˜Š its a .25 carat diamond solitaire in 14k yellow gold.

Congratulations! As long as you love it, that’s all that matters. ๐Ÿ™‚

I love my 0.40 twc Halo. I don’t wear a lot of jewelry and I work in a rather harsh environment (a warehouse) so a big or flashy ring wasn’t really practical for me or my lifestyle.

I think it’s such poor taste to comment on the size of someone’s ring. Try to shrug off any negativity OP, your ring is beautiful and all that matters is that you love it! ๐Ÿ™‚

That ring is LOVELY!

I have a small ring & I love it because it suits me. Its not even a traditional engagement ring. Its a cluster ring made up of little diamonds. I was supposed to get his grandmothers ring but his dad sold it so I ended up with a ring that belonged to his mother. Its even more special to me for that reason.

People give me weird looks about my ring because it doesnt even look like an engagement ring but it came from the heart like your ring did.

To be perfectly honest I didnt want him to spend a lot of money on an engagement ring. When we are married I will just be wearing my wedding band. I would in the health field so its easier that way.

And I just think theres alot better things to put your money into. The size of the ring doesnt reflex his love for us.

Also if your happy with it thats all that matters. To me its for me… not to show off to other people anyways.

Mine’s a 0.2ct centre, 0.25ct tcw. I love it and can’t imagine anything bigger!

Anyone who comments negatively on a ring to the wearer of that ring is just a dick. And most likely a jealous dick.

Beautiful ring!

Congrats, Bride to Bee!

I agree that comments about your groom “cheaping out” on an e-ring are rude. They’re likely illogical, anyway.

The e-ring’s supposed to 1) be pretty (to you two) and 2) mark the promise you two make to get married. That’s it.

I asked my groom to limit his spending since I didn’t want to wear something too costly on my hand (due to my lifestyle, priorities, and preferences.) Here’s what the original e-ring looked like (double row of diamonds, 1cttw, $500) and my current upgraded e-ring (single row of rubies/diamonds, 1cttw, $1000).

snowyshon:  Lovely ring and congratulations! People commenting on how your fiance is cheap? Well, the mentality of people who equate the size of your diamond ring to “how much he loves you by how much money he spends”, is truly ridiculous and inaccurate. They don’t know anything about you or your relationship with your fiance.

The important thing is that you’re thrilled with it, that he loves you and wants to spend the rest of his life with you! You can’t put a “price” on that.

snowyshon:  My center stone is .2 and the two side stones are .1. It’s from the 1940s and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s absolutely exactly what I pictured, and he picked it out! I chose my wedding band, which doesn’t have any diamonds, and it’s from the 1920s.

Rings are meant to be beautiful and glittering not just BIG. I mean, it’s a ring for goodness sake not a levee or a tank.

Two people have commented on mine being small. It’s only .25 total. I’m absolutely in love with it though!

Sorry for the awkward hand, my nails looked absolutely horrible

I wanted an eternity ring and not a big solitaire that would just get caught on things (I’m clumsy with my hands) and I didn’t want to have to take off my engagement ring and didn’t want anything too expensive. Plus big rings just aren’t as common here (uk). I’ve now moved it to my right hand and my husband bought me a pearl ring on our honeymoon; he’s going to buy me a cz ring for our anniversary. No one said anything about it being an eternity ring instead of a solitaire – and ultimately it’s what I wanted, it’s not for them!

NFLwidow: rubies and diamonds are the best!

My center stone is 1/3 and engagement ring is 1/2 tcw. Not sure the overall tcw with the enhancer band. Not the biggest ring, but its certainly beautiful to me. I get many compliments on it. Never had anything negative.
