my ering was from my grandmother’s ring.  Darling Husband used the diamond, and traded in the rest of the ring towards creating my ring. he paid the balance.

i paid for my own wedding band, as i wanted something Darling Husband couldn’t afford at the time.

so in return, Darling Husband paid for his own wedding band.

I paid for his engagement ring, he paid for my engagement ring. He’s using his engagement ring as his wedding band. I may get a separate wedding band if I can justify the expense. We will pay for it using our joint account, so we will both pay for it. My fiance and I have separate accounts to pay bills out of, but they only contain enough to cover whatever expenses we’re paying for. All other money goes into a joint account and moves around as needed. We’ve got a “what’s mine is yours” policy now, so we don’t really have our own money any more – thus all purchases are joint.

He paid for my fairly pricy engagement ring so I didn’t feel good about him paying for the wedding band I picked out ($700 including lifetime warranty) so I paid for it. He ended up paying for his own band ($18).

jayquellen :  My husband paid for my engagement ring, we paid for my wedding band because our finances had merged by then.

My husband actually made his own wedding band out of wood, it’s pretty cool.

    He paid for my e-ring.

By the time we are married we will have set up a joint bank account so we will be sharing the costs of the wedding rings in that sense.

We split the cost of my engagement ring (about $2200) and then I purchased both our wedding bands as I was a bit more cash-rich at the time, having left a job and been paid out for unused vacation time.

We consider our finances merged so I guess we both pay in a sense.

He paid for the engagment ring. In our culture the best man gets his band and the Maid/Matron of Honor gets mine. Since my band was more then I wanted my Maid/Matron of Honor to spend, I paid $500 of the total cost for my band.
