Maid/Matron of Honor, which was my sister. She didn’t spend a ton but did an amazing job with it regardless. Everyone was impressed, especially me!

My mom threw and paid for my West coast family bridal shower.  My sisters in law hosted my East coast family shower.  It was at FI’s aunt’s house and she and my Mother-In-Law pitched in by doing food.  The wife of FI’s friend and coworker (who has become a friend of mine as well) organized a small cop wives/girlfriends shower/brunch for me as a surprise this past weekend.  FI’s coworkers’ wives have been so sweet and welcoming to me.  I’m finding out that the “badge bunnies” are a tight knit group and it’s been wonderful to get to know them and for them throw such a sweet surprise for me.

I’m not sure there’s a “norm” for who pays for/hosts a bridal shower.

My fiance’s cousin, aunts, and stepmom threw mine.

Whoever was hosting the shower paid for it.  FI’s aunt paid for one, Future Sister-In-Law paid for the other.

My aunt officially threw it, but my mom helped with some stuff (was held at her house).  Also two of my mom’s friends helped by bringing food and helping her get the house ready.  One of my Bridesmaids couldn’t make it, and the other one was very busy that weekend, but she helped me take pics and by doing other small tasks during the shower.
