He paid. We picked it out together with a modest budget so that I wouldn’t feel bad about not contributing.

We paid for our bands out of our shared “travel/wedding/fun” account which we contribute to equally, so I got the better deal out of that, as mine was 1/2 the width of his!

pbubs:  My husband is traditional – he designed and paid for it himself, after asking what style ring I wanted. Our finances were separate at the time and he wanted me to be surprised, and I appreciate that.

He bought mine.  But we plan on splitting the costs for the wedding bands.

He originally wanted to pay for the whole thing, but I convinced him to go 50/50 since I figure we will eventually be combining finances, and I’m a modern woman, so I just wanted to be on equal footing that way…

It’s about 2/3 him and 1/3 me. I felt bad about him spending so much on something for me!

I pitched in about 1/4th of the cost of my e ring and paid for his ring myself but we are going to combine all of our money and only have joint bank accounts come November so it was like a “who cares who pays now?” Type of deal. What’s mine is his and whats his is mine 🙂

mrsbear2be:   I pitched in because I wanted something more pricey than what we originally agreed on, he couldve waited a bit longer to purchase the ring but I was there and our finances will be combined anyway. We are also from a big city in California and pretty progressive.

I bought all of our rings because I am the primary earner, and he works at a grocery store. I would have been waiting a LONG time to get a ring, so I sped up the process. It works for us.

I think a man should pay for the bride;s rings  just like the bride should pay for the groom’s ring.

My fiancé picked the diamond & setting out, and paid for it on his own. He wouldn’t let me contribute even if I wanted to.

I offered to chip in up to half, but he rejected that and is purchasing it himself. I will be buying our wedding rings though, as well as a second set of qalo rings to wear during exercise/outdoor activities 🙂

He paid for my engagement ring. My wedding band he paid for with our joint credit card – I offered that. I paid for his band because I wanted to, but it was like $80 so, either way, not a huge deal.

I guess if you analyze it, I did.

His father had a heart attack very close to Christmas a couple of years ago and international fights were booked beyond capacity.

I called the people who handle my winnings and said I needed him on a plane to London ASAP and they were able to get him on a direct to London in 3 1/2 hours.
