Does anyone know who is supposed to pay for the bridal party accomodations the night before the wedding (after the rehearsal dinner)? I am just not sure if I am supposed to/expected to pay for the bridesmaids to spend the night before the wedding? Any insight is greatly appreciated.
Just an FYI- the historic hotel that we are having the wedding at has very expensive ($250-300/night) rooms…I was planning on blocking off a bunch of rooms at a nice local hotel that is more reasonably priced and are right in the center of town so people have things to do and don’t have to spend a fortune (I will probably also stay in the less expensive hotel for the after party:) ). If I do have to pay for the bridesmaids to spend the night prior to the wedding, is it okay to put them up in the hotel that I will be blocking rooms off at?

Generally, the bridal party themselves foots the bill for it, but sometimes the bride & groom cover it.

typically the bridal party are responsible to pay for their own accommodations unless you really want to pay for it.

We paid for our bridal party’s accomodations (and most of their other expenses) because we felt like that was part of being a good host. But Mr. LK and I are in a wedding in March, and we are paying for our own accomodations. So it really depends on what the bride and groom choose to do.

It’s nice if you can cover their accomodations, but definitely not required!

I think I am going to pay for a nice, big suite for my bridesmaids and I the night before the wedding! The rest of the wedding party will have to pay for their own rooms!

It would be nice for the bride and groom to pay for it, as the location is/was their decision!! venting
