Usually the parents pay for the dresses, similar to being a Bridesmaid or Best Man.

Funny tksjewelery said that. We paid for our flower girl dresses and the bm dresses. So maybe the rule of thumb is whatever you do for the bm dress situation is the same as the flower girl dress situation?

It wasn’t a tough choice for us. We decided right off the bat we were paying for our wedding party’s attire though and just budgeted accordingly.

@yellowshoe: We paid for our wedding parties attire also, mostly because it was a tough year on all our Wedding Party with work, the flooding, etc.  We used it as our Wedding Party gifts to them.

@Jessoverall: Maybe wait till the spring dresses come out for easter (or just after with the clearance sales).  They have some super cute ones and the kids will not be as likely to outgrow them.
