Quick question to all the brides/brides-to-be out there:
Does anyone know of a website where there’s a list of who pays for what for a wedding? I’d look it up myself but I’m short on time today.
I bought a wedding planner book (per my mother’s request) yesterday, and there’s no list of what the bride’s family is supposed to pay for and what the groom’s family is supposed to pay for. I know times have changed and I’m sure the list isn’t written in stone, but any idea where I could find a list like that? My mother is going insane (penny pincher) because she wants to know how much she should be saving, I need to get her a list STAT lol.
She will drive me crazy.

I think a lot of those guidelines are outdated. Rather than following old traditions, why not just see what your parents and his parents offer to pay for? That way no parents feel obliged to pay for anything.

There is a lot of lists out there, but a lot of people dont fallow those guidelines now. Some grooms parents pay for everything, some brides parents. Alot of couple me included pay for their own. but here is a list. http://wedding.theknot.com/getting-engaged/engaged/articles/wedding-budget-who-pays-for-what.aspx?MsdVisit=1
