I’m not 100% percent sure, but I’ve heard that the Maid/Matron of Honor takes care of the shower, and then all the girls pay for the bachlorette party, but spilt and then cover the bride’s part of the bill.

i think usually the Maid/Matron of Honor plans it with the help of the bms

I always thought that the Maid/Matron of Honor planned the bachelorette party too, BUT that is just tradition, so I’m sure that nowadays there are many other ways of doing it (ex. the bride herself, all of the bridesmaids jointly, an awesome friend who wasn’t able to be in the wedding party, a favourite aunt, etc.).

The bridal party.  My Maid/Matron of Honor is the lead planner on the shower and another bridesmaid is the lead planner on the bachelorette party. One takes the lead and the other is assisting. The other girls live out of town plus it helps both plan events for a living.

I have always thought it was the Maid/Matron of Honor that does most of the planning, but that the other BM’s all chip in ideas and funding if needed.

Bridal party.

But bear in mind that a b-party is a gift, not a requirement.
