I don’t understand why people answer the phones at the toilet!  People do this at my work!

@s2bmrscook:  My boss talks to people while he’s in the bathroom AND flushes, I cannot imagine doing the same….

Oh man. Sometimes, when I’m expecting a really time-sensitive call but I HAVE TO PEE RIGHT THAT SECOND, I will take my phone with me to the bathroom just in case. But seriously, the idea that the call I’m waiting for could come while I’m in there is like my worst nightmare.

I would never answer the phone when I’m on the can! 😛

There’s been a couple times where I’m in the middle of a conversation with my mom, and all of a sudden it sounds kinda echo-y… and I’m like, “..Mom? Are you peeing right now?”

Silence.

“Yeah, I’m sorry, I had to go so bad but you were in the middle of a story and I couldn’t hold it!”

Personally, that cracks me up. Your situation…not the same.. but man, I love my mom. Haha! 🙂

Having your phone in the bathroom just seems to me like a great way to accidentally drop it in the toilet. At best, goodbye phone. At worst, you’re reaching in. Yetch.

@iarebridezilla:  I hate to contradict you, but there is no time sensitive call that can’t wait 2 minutes while you pee ( unless you are the state governer granting clemency at 1 minute before a scheduled execution). Not only do you expose the caller to noise you create, but I get to be the background noise on your call. That is inconsiderate behavior to say the least.

Okay if I’m waiting for a phone call and see I number I don’t know I might be tempted to answer it if I was in the bathroom. However, I certainly would not say I’m in the bathroom and I would definitely not flush!!

Funny bathroom/phone etiquette story…

This girl used to work here who was very strange (that’s a whole other can o’ worms). She used to disappear to the ladies’ room every day around 2:30 to do her business (before we knew who it was, we called the mystery person creating the noxious fumes the “2:30 bomber”…let’s just say her diet wasn’t filled with healthy items).

One day, around 2:30, she was gone from her desk for waaaay too long. Meanwhile, I was on Twitter and noticed she uploaded a new twitpic selfie headshot. I was astonished to find that the wallpaper matched that of our lovely 1980’s bathroom decor.

Being the sadist that I am, I walked ran into the bathroom to see if that was really her, really taking a selfie while doing her daily 2:30 business in our disgusting 1980’s bathroom…it was.
