I’ve been called fat, asked if I was pregnant, the whole lot. Granted not on my wedding day but it still hurts no matter what. At that time in my life, i was severely depressed, verging on suicidal, and food was my lifeline. I only ate crap and drank way too much alcohol. I am in a much better place now, over 10 years later and I am still trying to get a handle on my emotional attachment to food and my stressors that cause cravings for bad junk food. I think it’s very sad, rude and a true testament of THEIR character to act that way. It is not easy to be healthy, it takes a lot of work. Not to say every plus size bride has the issues I dealt with, just that no one can know what another person is going through or has gone through in their lives. I wish more people would show compassion, not sure how to make that happen other than showing it myself.
Hugs to you for you wedding day!
