I was on SMP too and saw this gorgeous wedding.  What I didn’t understand is why it was stressed as an elopement or why we treat smaller, more intimate gathering as less of weddings?  Just because you have 10 people in attendance doesn’t make it any less of a wedding complete with ceremony and reception.

I think its because some people think of elopemnt as married in a courthouse no frills no nothing or married in vegas
