It’s not one of their duties to come with you to look at wedding dresses. That said, basically saying “I don’t feel like watching you try on wedding dresses so I’m not going to come when I said I would” is pretty rude. As an anology, f someone said to me “I know we had plans to get dinner but I don’t want to anymore” I’d be annoyed, even though they weren’t obligated to have dinner with me.

You can take whomever you want dress shopping.  If they’d rather go boating I would just take the other ladies who are making the effort to come from out of town for the appointment.  I only took my Maid/Matron of Honor when I went shopping.  After I bought the dress I tried it on at the shop when my bridesmaids went to pick out their dresses.  I had to wait to show my mom too since she lives out of state.  If your sisters can’t go at least you have your mother. Smile  Just have a good time and post some pics of what ya find.

Would you really want to go dress shopping with someone who doesn’t want to be there?  Be thankful she told you up front rather than going when not wanting to go and ruining the experience for you.  I see it as a blessing in disguise.
