This Saturday, I have my first appointment to go dress shopping, and needless to say, every woman in my family is jumping for joy. Here’s my dilemma: I’ve been extremely blessed to have three grandmothers, and one great grandmother. Three of them live in town, and want to come. My mom and my little sister will be there. And at least two of our family’s close friends want to come (they’re literally like two more moms to me).
I definitely think this is a lot, but they have all expressed that they want to come see me try on dresses! I don’t know what to do, and if that many people is too much.

I went with my grandmother that i’m closest to, my mom and my two sisters. my FI’s mom and two of my aunts also wanted to come, but that would’ve been too many people for me. My mom ended up telling my aunts that I didnt’ want everyone to see my dress already for the wedding so it woudl be a surprise (i didn’t actually say that, but whatever) & then I went to my home town about 3 hours away from where I live now & there was no way I was taking my Future Mother-In-Law with me b/c she drives me insane.

First, call the salon and ask how many people you can bring. Some allow many while others only allow 1 or 2.
Maybe you can bring some for the first time to narrow down (Mom and sis)
Bring 2 others second time (narrow down some more but take less time so grandmas could come)
Bring 2 for FINAL decision(maybe Mom and her mom)
Anyone else can go with you for fittings (I’d say family friends for this)

I would let everybody come…I’m just telling everyone where and when I could get an appointment for, and I’m inviting everyone, (mother-in-law to be, mom, grams, a few friends, bridemaids, and sister).

I plan on bringing my mom, stepmom, and step sister… I plan on inviting the future Mother-In-Law and future SIL if they’d like to join! 🙂

Thanks, everyone! I’m sure they all won’t be able to come anyway, I was just hoping it wasn’t unusual to have that many people coming. Which… it probably is, but oh well.

Invite who you want there. I had 8 people with me, I didn’t end up finding one I liked that day though. I ended up using a different store. But we had a blast and I wouldn’t change anything about it.
I can’t even imagine how excited the grandmas are 🙂
