People are ridiculous. Although one time we had a package “delivered” and it showed up three days later looking like it had been run over several times by a bulldozer. Yea for Nordstroms though! They seriously have the best customer service ever.

@NauticalBride2011: Does your front entrance have a security camera? Maybe they can look at the tape to see who took it.

Glad nordstrom is sending a new one.

Which shipping company was it delivered with? They should keep track of who received the package. I think the shipping company rather than nordstrom shoud bear the cost of this.

Someone stole my rehearsal dinner dress from my front steps. They opened the box, took the dress, and put the empty box back on the steps. I was furious! Saks, thankfully, still refunded me.

This happened to me before. My upstairs nieghbor (who I HATED) for some reason decided to sign for my packages and keep them in his apartment. I didn’t know him at all and never authorized him to do this. I know he did it only because UPS sent me notifications afterwards that the resident in 1A signed for my packages.

This neighbor was a nightmare, he was never home during dinnertime but would burst home drunk with a million friends every night at like 10 or 11 pm and party all night long. During the day he would be sleeping and never answered the door. After a few weeks of knocking on his door, I finally left a letter for him saying that I knew he had signed for my packages because of the notices I received and I hadn’t been able to get a hold of him. Suddenly the next day they magically appeared in front of my apartment door (no explanation or apology) mysteriously unopened.

So they just left the package at your door and no one had to sign for it? I have a note on my door saying if no one is home to accept packages, please take them back and I will pick it up.

I came home from a vacation once and had a rug I ordered at my door in my apartment building. We even had an office that would accept packages but for some reason, the mailman left it at my door for the week. It was supposed to be a large and small matching rug, a neighbor had stolen the large rug. Then the idiot invited me in one day where I pointed out the brand new rug on their floor. The next morning it was rolled up and placed at my door.

I always have everything sent to my office because some shipping services just leave stuff on the front porch. Most will at least make an attempt to tuck it behind a bush or something but when I was in an apartment complex I didn’t like stuff just sitting out for anyone to snatch.

My packages always get delivered to the wrong house so I always have to get stuff delivered to work. Sometimes my neighbors get my packages and don’t even say anything!

@Pupperoni: Are you serious?! OMG!!!

I cannot wait until I move into my new apartment building with doormen and lobby attendents. No more worrying about packages!

@NauticalBride2011: Super bummer, but I have to second the “I LOVE NORDSTROM.” They really go above and beyond. Glad you got the tie there!
