My Fiance and I have 2 dogs, a doberman and a pom/shitz mix… I take them out during the day and he takes them out at night, especially in the early morning hours (2:00 AM) when we get up for work. But he has bad arthritis in his legs and takes him around one hour to actually be able to get out of bed, even after I have fed him 2 painkillers. So he gets really mad becasue he feels “pushed” to go out. (the dogs really need to pee and poo after 8 hours!)
I live in an apartment and there are apartments all around us, plus twonhouses, all of these places are Housing and there are bad people out at night and drugs and prostitutes. So I can’t (or should I say… won’t go out with the dogs) this late at night. He understands this as it is very unsafe for me to go even with a huge doberman. (we know our dobie won’t protect me, he’s such a baby and a wuss!) But I feel so bad since he hurts so much at that time.

We do something similar. He takes them out in the early morning and at night. I take them out during the day (at lunch and after work).

Same here, I get the morning and day shift, he gets the night shift. We live in a condo right downtown and I don’t feel comfortable walking my dog at night…

Our dog is a really small yorkie and is indoor potty trained. Since we live in Canada and it’s really freaking cold during the winter, he’s only started going out for walks again this past week. With yorkies having no undercoat added to the fact that he’s under 4 pounds, we could’t let him freeze his little tail off outside! So back to your original question.. whom evers closer to the puppy pad when he does his business is the one who cleans it up right away.
Here he is helping with the laundry 😛

We take random turns letting him out back (whoever is up when he wants out) and we usually take him for walks together once a day.

I always take out our dog in the morning, and whoever gets home first takes him out in the evening. We have a group of dogs in our apartment complex who our dog loves to play with, so we usually take him out to play together 🙂 At night we usually take him out together because I don’t like walking alone in the dark.

Fiance takes our dog out in the morning before he goes to work and sometimes at night, unless he goes to bed before I do. I take the dog out during the day, and I also take him on all his walks.

We take turns taking them out in the morning (every other day), he takes them out at night, and we take turns during the day. They are much better for him when they are outside though. They won’t ever do #2 for me (no idea why), which means he has to take them out right after I do sometimes to get them to go. Weird, I know.

We have 2 dogs. We walk them 2x’s a day. I take the them out in the mornings, and he does it at night. If we’re not in a hurry to get something done or get somewhere, we normally take them on long walks together.

We both have crazy schedules, so we just take turns based on who is home and not too busy. My area is relatively safe, so I have no problems walking the dog at night.

We just open the back door and let our pup out. It was great once we could do that since winter was just starting and it was getting too cold to go stand out there with him! He’s ok through the night no problems, but usually my husband lets him out in the morning. He usually takes him out on a walk after work since he gets home before me, or sometimes he’ll wait and we’ll go together.

Fiance goes to work before I do (like he is leaving as I am getting up) and the dog stays in bed with me, so I take her out most mornings. I come home at lunch (he works too far to do this) and let her out as well. He gets home before I do in the evening, so they usually go for a small walk before I get home. Then she goes for a long walk with me (or both of us) and someone takes her out before bed.

When Darling Husband had his dog (moved him to in-laws house because they’re on 4 acres and he’s a husky) I liked to get in my walking during the day when it is warm and hubbys at work….so i’d take him during the day but then Darling Husband would home and doggy would be so excited to see him that he’d jump all over him and Darling Husband would feel bad for him so he’d take him out again (which worked because my husband always feels like taking a stroll after filling up on dinner).

I let her out back first thing in the morning and then we go for a walk once I’m ready for work. My husband takes her to play in the late afternoon. He’s not working these days so this arrangement works out great for us for now. When he goes back to work (hopefully soon haha) then we’ll probably leave things the same, but he’ll take her to play a little later. Before bed we just let her out back.

I work from home, so I usually take her out when I get up and then throughout the day. In the evenings he usually does. Depends on what his work schedule is like though! I take her out way more then him I think.
