Well if you feel close enough to invite them and would invite them without doubt if they lived locally, I suggest still inviting who you would if everyone lived in the same city. Then they can decide whether they want to travel for the party or not. Just be prepared for many ‘no’ RSVPs.

koiocha:  I think you shoud invite who you care about and are friends with. Let them decide if it’s worth traveling for. All you need to worry about is staying under 60 people, so do the invites and keep track of the RSVPs. Good luck!

To be honest I thought the point of eloping was to NOT have a party with everyone? It sounds like you’re having a wedding reception (purpose of the party is to celebrate your marriage… dres…cake… etc) I don’t understand how this qualifies as elopement. If I was invited to this I certainly wouldn’t feel like you eloped
