    OMG…I never heard that “rule” before…and if it were true (and we were going to go along with it) our entire WEDDING would be attending the rehearsal dinner.

    NO NO NO WAY! 😉

    We’re strictly inviting the wedding party (and their SO’s and kids), brothers and sisters, and our grandparents to the rehearsal dinner.

    I am in the same boat. Honestly, I think Australia is pretty far away, so they should be invited to something, but you should definitely make it a BBQ. Especially if your wedding is formal, having a nice chilled out BBQ is perfect for breaking the ice and everyone getting to know each other.
