I doubt we’ll be sending a card to these people; unless we get exceptional service.

I verbally thanked all of these people (and tipped the appropriate ones.) No one did anything more than I paid for though so I didn’t send a thank you note. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing…I was thrilled that almost everyone came through with what I asked/contracted for. I think just paying them and a verbal thank you was enough Laughing

We didn’t send thank you cards to any of these people, except the officiant, who was a family member.  Honestly, we paid them a lot of money to do a service, and I didn’t feel I then needed to thank them for doing the service they were paid to do.

Why go out of your way to gush over something that you’ve already paid them thousands of dollars to do?

I might send a thank you to my photographer – but I agree with PP’s that unless they go above and beyond or are doing you favours then they don’t need a thank you note.

(then again, i love a good thank you note so i may have a change of heart depending on how much I like my vendors)

We owe final payments to our DJ and photographer at the wedding, so I’m including it in a thank you card to each of them.  But just those two.

Probably our officiant and our photographer because they’ve been amazing for us.

You’re paying all of those people do to a service. You don’t need to “thank” them for something you’ve paid for — the payment is the thank you (especially the tip you should’ve given to most of those listed)

That said I plan to include a thank you card with the tip I give to my wedding planners.

I will send thank you notes to my wedding guests. I might post a nice review or send a quick email to a vendor or service if the service was exceptional, otherwise no. I pay for those services.
