This morning I saw another bee bring up tipping a caterer in another post. We’re having our wedding at a country club that FI’s family is members of, so all the room fees, service fees, etc are waived. Do I still tip the servers? Do you tip your photographer if they’re not the business owner? Do you tip the DJ if they’re not the business owner? How much? Do I tip my day-of coordinator? Is a tip required if you’re providing a meal for a vendor?
So many potential tips! Could be couple hundred if not, thousand!

It is very unusual for tips to servers not to be included where I live. Yes, to the others.

We got married at our country club as well. 18% gratuity was included in food and beverage for the waitstaff. My dad did tip the bartenders but we just sent the coordinator flowers. Everyone else we used owned their businesses. I tipped hair and makeup though.

I don’t think you need to tip your coordinator.

If the country club was overly generous and waived many fees I would definitely tip no less than 20% of the food bill. Check the CC manger to see if they still kept gratuity on the bill. If not you should tip. I think you only need to tip people that don’t own their company, such as the servers and bartender because all they get paid is an hourly wage which probably sucks and they do so much work to make your wedding come alive! Best of luck!!
