I havent told her yet but more than anything i was my grandma to walk me down the aisle. She helped raise me and is my favorite person in this world besides my fiance.
So, who is walking you down the aisle and why did you choose them? Also how did you ask them?

I went traditional and my father is walking me down the aisle. However, I am very close to my grandmother so I can understand the importance of you wanting to have her walk you down the aisle. It is your day so whoever you feel is the best candidate to walk you down the aisle is who you should pick. My question would be do you not have a father, brother, uncle, etc (my only concern is that they would wonder why they werent picked). However, I dont know the situation so they may not be expecting to walk you down the aisle.

@Jen51287: I’m about 99.99% sure I’ll be walking myself down the aisle. I haven’t spoken to my father in almost a decade, and I don’t really like the idea of being “given away” anyway, to be honest.

My father walked me down the aisle, and it was something I always wanted. I didn’t even have to ask him – everyone just knew.

Both of my parents did, which is traditional in my culture. My father in law and mother in law also walked my husband down together, which is traditional in my culture.

My father is walking me down the aisle. I dont even have to ask him bc it’s been said my whole life. I was raised by my mom and dad so I wouldnt consider anyone else.

I’m not engaged yet (but will be soon) but I think I’m going to ask both of my parents to walk me down the aisle. After all, they both created and raised me, and if just my dad walks me down then my mom won’t get any special role in my wedding which just doesn’t seem right.
