Here is the thing, I’m indecisive. I have a hard time picking an outfit each morning, let alone picking the most important vendor for my wedding!
Fiance and I have agreed that photography is hands down our number 1 priority because we really want to be able to look back at some amazing shots after the excitement of the day has passed. I have also heard firsthand horror stories of friends who were extremely dissapointed with how their own wedding pictures turned out (the worst being one bride who still has not received her pictures – 5 years after the wedding!)
So, since the engagement, I have scoured countless blogs and websites trying to find a photographer that we love (and that fits our budget).
That being said, we have narrowed it down to a list of four photographers who cost roughly the same and I would love YOUR feedback (good or bad, don’t hold back!).
Just so you know, we are looking for a more high fashion/ photojournalistic style, but also want the photos to be flattering and show the emotions of the day!
Now, without further ado, here are the contenders: DRUMROLLL!
*** If you’re at work, please mute your speakers, some of the websites have music! ****
1. DeBelle Photography http://debellephotography.com/
2.. Bachman Photography http://www.bachmannphotography.com/blog/
3. Bessie and Coco http://www.facebook.com/BessieAndCocoPhotography/photos
4. Juno Photo http://www.junophoto.com/en/
Thank you to all the lovely bees in advance! 🙂

My favorite by far is Bachman. That’s definitely my aesthetic.

I also liked Bachman the best, second place is Juno

I am torn between 1 and 2

Photography is also my number one priority and I agree, Bachman!

I like Bachman. I love the use of color and how clean his photos looked!

Thanks so much for all the feedback? If you had to eliminate one, who would it be? Do you feel like there is one that’s definitely not on par with the rest?

From a sheer photographic stand point I would say that Bessie&Coco are not peers of the other 3. You also have 3 totally seperate styles of photography with the others. Juno is more consistent and a mix of candid and formal. Bachman is the most technically sound (not to say that the other are not) of the three but uses some different editing which for me changes the way that they naked eye would view it, and DeBelle is in more of a candid/photo journalistic style and looks for creativity. They each also have their own seperate editing styles as well… Just my thoughts.
Then again, it is all subjective and is strictly a user preference. I am sure that people would find things that they do not like about my work as well, while others pay me to fly across the country… You have to choose what looks aesthetically pleasing to you.

Eliminate Bessi and Coco. Bachman is by far the best one though.

I really like the de Belle group…it looks like there are several different photographers with them, and all of them have really solid pics to my untrained preferance. My pesonal favourite. Bachman just didn’t grab me, not sure why. Some really nice pics, but a lot of average ones in my opinion, which for a website thats designed to promote business to me isn’t a great advertisement.
Totally didn’t like Coco or the Juno pics.

Definitely Bachman!! Same kind of style I’m going for with my photos (: I liked DeBelle the least because the photo effects seemed to be all over the place

I find your list a little confusing since their styles are so different. You need to work out what kind of style you want first. I wouldn’t pick 4 because the quality of the images on their website are awful (the poses an composition are fine, but the images themselves are all blurry). Number 1 is pretty cliche IMO (which is fine if that’s what you want), number 3 has lots of slanted angles and doesn’t seem to be as professional as the others. I’d go for number 2.

@Miss Care Bear: I chose Juno, but Bachman was second place for me. I think they’re both great but personally preferred the style of Juno better. 🙂
