He was the primary contact for the realtor at first but then he started traveling for work so I took over.  I was the primary contact for the lenders.

Me because I’m more available during my job.

At one point during the process our realtor called and said the seller’s agent was asking for our “highest and best” offer because we must have been close or tied with another offer and I had to respond immediately.  Luckily Darling Husband and I had previously discussed this possibility so I was confident in my answer.

I was the primary contact with the looking process.  By the third offer I was out of town and he became primary from that point through closing, including the bank.  The whole process was about 7 months.

Our realtor was a friend of my SO so a lot of the contact was through him, and he was selling his house at the same time so they were in contact for a lot of that. All of the emails came to me though and we looked at everything at the same time.

Me because I am better with keeping details straight. I usually keep track of all the paperwork in our relationship – i.e, bills, taxes, etc. so it just seemed natural for me to handle it. I also am very accessible while at work so it was more convenient for the lender/underwriter to call me rather than Fiance

My Fiance was the main contact because we used a realtor through his bank, and it was just easier that way.  He was more knowledgeable about the buying and inspection process too, so it helped to have him take the lead.

Phone calls to him to him. We would both call if necessary and emails to both of us.

We would both discuss emails if it was important, but he would be the one to repond.

After several offers/negotiations (and then backing out for different reasons) we found itbest to have one point of contact but for us both to be up to date on all the informations

The bank ended up communicating more with my hubby because they kept calling him when they couldn’t get a hold of me, which was fine, but my husband is not very good with asking questions, so I finally told the bank that I needed to be the main point of contact. Once I did, it was pretty smooth sailing.

It was pretty much even for us.  I think most every email to and from both our realtor and lender included both of us.

My Fiance.  He owned the house we currently live in before we met/moved in together so he has been through the process before.  I have never bought a home prior to this.  We both had equal say in what we were looking for, houses we wanted etc but he is more picky than I am so I did let him have more say in the houses we looked at knowing he’d take into consideration what I wanted as well.

Fortunately our house hunting was minimal, we found a house we both loved within a month (our 2nd house we looked at) and were able to get everything both of us wanted in a house and much more :).  We close on April 30th!
