Seriously, I really liked the show at first, but everytime Olivia acts so dramatic, or her and Fitz act like they own each other I want to puke. What do other people think?
I’m just curious because I’m watching right now, and I just want to scream almost everytime she opens her mouth. I still love the show because the overall plot is interesting, but Olivia and Fitz are the most unhealthy couple I’ve ever seen and also both so dramatic.

nattiejeanne: +100000000000. It’s sad to see how much of an ass Fitz is….and ridiculously weak Olivia is. I thought the writer was going for a strong independent female role, and she is turning into a dramatic, weak, minded annoying character. I agree with you the rest of the show is so interesting I can’t stop watching, but im over Fitz and Olivia already!!

I agree…. Seriously she drives me crazy with her obsession. It’s like they are addicted to each other in some insane, crazy, way beyond unhealthy relationship. He is married – PERIOD! He is not getting a divorce and regardless of the reasons you are not noble and wonderful and putting your wants / needs aside for the sake of the country. You are stupid. You are a mistress and he is a cheater. Argh it makes me so mad as it goes against my values and it makes me sick that she pretends she is a victim. They have sex then scream and tell at each other, act crazy and then continue to lie, cheat and carry on with the affair like its some fairy tale romance. Give me a break! Someone who needs a reality check is leading the country?
And yet I don’t stop watching it because the rest is so different and intriguing. Love the show, wish Olivia woul get over it and move on. He is a loser who will cheat on her too.

I used to watch it, but I gave up. It was just so much, with overblown plots.

I hate Olivia and Fitz since maybe the second season? He is a complete jerk to her constantly and then he calls her when stuff is good and messes up her life. It’s like the classic abusive relationship. How are we supposed to root for them?

nattiejeanne: I’m so over the yelling argument dialogue. Sorry Shonda but I like it more in Greys. The end didn’t even shock me I kinda shrugged it off and didn’t care….
Also, was anyone else annoyed by the billion and one ways they covered up Olivia’s belly?

I got addicted to this show after binging on it on Netflix when I was out of work sick. I finished both seasons and eagerly started watching season three. That being said, I absolute hate Olivia/Fitz. Hate them. He is married, plain and simple. She will never be anything more than his mistress. They are not “star-crossed” lovers. Their relationship is of two co-dependent people who seem to love to bring each other down. I’m not sure how we’re supposed to root for these two people?
Olivia also just drives me crazy. She is so dramatic and selfish while trying to come off as being this self-less hero.
I also have to say that Mellie is my favorite character of the series.

nativedesires: Seriously, I know a lot of couples who are very in love, but none in the sickening and unhealthy way they are. I loved her and Jake, and of course she can’t have anything that makes her happy because Fitz owns her or something.

MrsMeowton: Mellie is ABSOLUTELY my favorite character! 🙂

I’m so torn. I really liked them in seasons 1 and 2…but season 3 has been so unhealthy and abusive. I dunno, whenever that score starts…I do get a little weak in the knees because Fitz is pretty magnetic. But I hate that Olivia is so weak.
Hopefully Momma Pope can slap some sense into her when she’s not being all crazy herself.
