So glad ARS (Attempted Rapist Shane) is gone!!!  Anyone else remember that?  I was HORRIFIED with how they handled it “so um…about last night…”  “pfft, I’d expect it from you” and that’s IT??  He tried to effing rape her!!!  I want to see some PUNISHMENT!

I was a little surprised they had another death so soon after Dale (my favorite character and the first one that had me in tears :(:().  Next one on my hit list?  Lori.  She reminds me of Boo Boo from Yogi Bear the way she defers to Rick…”gee Yogi, what do you wanna do today?  OKAY!”

I’m also waiting for them to go into more detail on the “don’t have to get bit to be a zombie” thing.  I couldn’t tell if Rick expected Shane to come back or not.

@Dizbee:  I don’t think Rick expected him to turn because he would have shot him in the head otherwise and would not have turned his back on him.

Also remember Lori’s conversation with Andrea about how she wasn’t doing her fair share of women’s work and how they should leave the protecting to the mens?  That almost made me stop watching.  I love the show for it’s awesome plot, but the sexism is just appalling.

I am glad Shane is dead.  I can’t bare seeing the annoying love triangle anymore. At first I was rooting for Rick but now both of them annoy me.  Not to mention how Lori doesn’t feel much of guilt of her affairs SHORTLY after her husband ‘dead’ in the beginning and kept justifying how tight her family is now, and tell Shane to back off but expect him to stick around every time she in need.  It really made me feel like watching DAY OF OUR LIVES: ZOMBIE EDITION.

I think the only person I feel sad watching to die is Dale.  Wasn’t expecting that.  The rest of the people, I don’t mind if they get killed off.

I lost interest in this series because I was hoping more of the “background” of the outbreak rather than running away from zombies during the whole series.

I gotta cut down my “zombies TV/movie” consumption as they have been contributing to my nightmares including last night ๐Ÿ˜›

@Dizbee:  I am with you on this.  I wanted Lori dead too ๐Ÿ˜›

It will be an interesting twist on how they want to explain of the “zombies with no bite marks”.

Anyone also read their comics…are the comics better or just as good as the TV series?

My Fiance and I watch The Walking Dead and LOVE IT!  Last nights episode was CRAZY!  As much as I dislike Shane (he really was going mental–or was he always a little nuts?), I still thought he added something extra to the show.  However, I will say that it was getting old.

I like Rick.  He seems to be the best leader the group has at the moment.  I also like Lori but could not stand that she gave any attention to Shane last night.  Don’t feel sorry for the dude, Lori, he is nuts.

Fiance has read most of the comics and says the show is way better.

Wasn’t going to read this thread because I haven’t seen last night’s ep yet, but I am a total lover-of-spoilers and if what I am reading about Shane and such is true I AM SO EXCITED. I am sick of the dramz. Not saying it should only have been him (I’m looking at you, Lori and Carl, mega idiots) but I still have a soft spot for Rick.

Also, I CRIED MY EYES OUT over Dale and the vindictive part of me was all “Why wasn’t it Shane? He’s the jerk!”

I haven’t even watched it and I’m doing a celebratory dance at my desk. Will deffo watch tonight ๐Ÿ™‚

Shane is pretty cute but he did annoy me after a while. Fiance informed me last night that it was about time he died because in the comics he’s like the first person to be killed off. I think I was more upset about Dale than Shane. I wouldn’t mind a few others going either but at least there is more excitement than previously, it was getting boring for a while there. lol ๐Ÿ™‚

I think in the comics Shane dies pretty near the beginning, so I was actually surprised they kept him around so long.  The one who really bothers me is Andrea, she has got to go.

I am totally curious about how Shane came back though when he wasn’t bit?  I don’t get it!

What is the comic everyone is referring to? I hear next season is the “Governor’s” season…. could that guy who cut his hand off be the leader of the other group?

I really don’t think it’ll be found out that they are ALL infected, that’s a bit too doom and gloom for a successful show (like when everyone thought the people on LOST were dead all along and in hell, etc).

I’m not sure if they even Need to explain how some people are zombies with no bites–some kind of shared bodily fluid with another infected but not yet zombie person–I mean if its a superficial wound the person takes quite a while to die/turn–

That one guy last season had a small bite and within a day died and became a zombie–don’t you think if Carl was infected being shot/being SO close to death would have caused the infection to just take over and make him a zombie?

@armychica06:  Wow!  I never thought about that.  That would be very intersting.  DH and I have been waiting for them to bring him back at some point.
