A lot of people thought that Merle was going to come back as the “Governor”, but they’ve been shopping around for a different actor.

I love that show and am desperately trying to get FH into it. I missed all but the last 10 minutes of last night’s episode but some friends kept me updated. Personally I’m really surprised Shane died, I mean, I know there’s been this back and forth alpha male thing going on between Rick and Shane and of course there’s the issue with Lori… I expected Rick and Shane’s issues would come to a head eventually, but I don’t know that I was really expecting the death of another main character so soon after Sophia and Dale.

As far as how Shane and Randall became walkers, I’ve been messing with that idea too. The most logical theory is that the virus is airborne now, but Rick did look rather shocked when Shane came back. In the other episode in the bus, wherethey find the bodies and Rick says that they “must” have been scratched, like he’s realizing something but doesn’t want to admit it. So if that’s what Dr. Jenner said at the end of season 1, you’d think he’d be aware and he wouldn’t have been surprised to see Shane as a walker, of course, he also could be surprised that Shane turned so quickly… Then of course there’s the whole Shane cutting his hand on the same knife he just put through a zombie’s skull… So who knows? I look into this a lot. But Randall, his neck was broken…

I’m personally wondering what’s going to happen with Carl. Here lately he’s been popping up a lot and he’s obviously starting to change a good bit (he threw rocks at the walker that ended up killing Dale) and seriously, the kid had a gun pointed as his dad… I know pretty much what happens to him in the comics, but I also know that the TV series hasn’t really followed them. I’m also curious to see if Rick steps up and actually starts doing something. He’s been so boring up until this point, and it feels like the ONLY emotions we’ve been getting is what he feels about Shane…

Agh, I’m so not ready for the end of this season. If you can’t tell, I put a lot of thought into this kind of stuff. Haha.

I am so glad SOMETHING finally happened. I was getting so sick of the same old stare-downs episode after episode. They should have had this happen like 3rd episode in…no joke.

in the comics whenever someone dies they become a Walker too–no bite needed like has been happening in the show–but Lori gives birth to a healthy normal baby…but both the baby and Lori die later…of course in the comics Sophia (yells SOPHIAAAAA!) never goes missing and is still alive, so who knows what will happen.

DH and I have been watching this show since the beginning! It definitely gives me the super creeps, probably because DH makes us watch it late at night, in the dark, right before bed -_- I haven’t had any nightmares yet but I’ve definitely squeaked a few times during the show.

All this talk of what Jenner whispered to Rick at the CDC is interesting. I had always assumed that Jenner had seen Shane attack Lori on some sort of video surveillance system (it’s a government facility, after all, probably had video cameras everywhere), and that he’d whispered to Rick that he needed to watch out for Shane being crazy. But maybe Jenner was actually talking about the virus itself.

Can’t wait to find out what’s turning people into walkers without bites – that makes the virus scarier to me!

And oh dear god, would someone please get rid of Andrea? I can’t stand her. She’s eternally pissed off and bitching about something. In this last episode, all I could think was why don’t Shane and Andrea leave already and form a league of assholes together?

I was pretty impressed with Rick for killing Shane.  I wasn’t sure he had it in him!

Lori needs to put Carl on a leash.  She never knows where he is.  Seriously lady, watch your kid.

Regarding the turning without being bitten or scratched, as others have said, I think everyone is a carrier of the disease or virus and it re-animates them when they die, no matter how they die.  I also think people can die and turn from a bite–there are just a couple of methods.  I think this is what Jenner told Rick at the CDC, and Rick knew this.  This is why he shot the guys at the bar in the head and was hanging out with Shane after he died–he knew Shane was going to zombify.  Carl just came along and effed everything up (as usual).

Also, they should have told Carl, “Yeah, it’s kind of your fault Dale died.”  Maybe then he would listen to adults and actually do what they say.

Also, if anything happens to Daryl, I probably won’t watch the show anymore.  He’s my favorite.  I would follow him around during a zombie apocalypse because he is pretty much the bamf-iest guy around.

I’m waiting for Daryl and Carol to hook up.  They keep making eyes at each other.  Has anyone else noticed this?

Totally agree about nobody keeping an eye on that damn kid! If it weren’t for the zombie thing, they’d probably still be the annoying parents who let their kid run around annoying the rest of us with his terrible acting! GOD, I know kids are kids, so it’s harder for them, but that kid is THE WORST. I want him to shut his face 100% of the time.

@Miss Olive:  I was so pissed when Rick told Carl it wasn’t his fault. It’s true that Carl didn’t kill Dale himself, but he should have told somebody about that walker being so close to their home. What a freaking moron this kid is. And all Rick says is “It’s not your fault. Here, take this gun, and no more kid stuff.” WHAT?

@Miss Olive: Ha, I agree, Daryl seems to be the smartest, most capable one of the bunch. But on the other hand, he did torture that kid, which was pretty gruesome. Also, he flips out a little too easily sometimes, like he did on Carol after Sophia died. He strikes me as a little unbalanced, but not nearly as unbalanced as Shane.

Either way, I’ll be pissed at the writers and sad if Daryl dies. Or Glenn.

@Bubu82:  I forgot about his flipping out on Carol and beating up the kid…apparently I have selective memory where Daryl is concerned.  Oops!  I’d still make him take me with him though–or I’d just follow him around on his bike.  The guy has serious survival skills.
