alhems2015:  I wear it most of the work day. I don’t wear it to the gym or if I’m cooking with my hands or cleaning. And I actually kind of find showering with it on weird.

I only take my ring off when painting/staining. Otherwise I sleep/shower/cook/clean (unless it’s like bleach or something) with it on.

It’s insured and I figure it’s safer on my hand than leaving it places. It’s had no damage to it.

I take mine off when I’m cleaning or cooking something messy but other than that I keep it on all the time. It feels strange to be without it now!

I wear it all of the time unless I’m working out with metal dumbells.

I literally never take my ring off. I wear it to bed, shower, cooking, exercise, work. I will remove it to put lotion on and put the ring stratight back on, although sometimes i lotion around it. <br />It’s partly because it makes me so happy and means so much that I want it with me always, and partly because I’m terrified of losing it.

I take it off to shower, sleep, clean, do dishes, and if we go for a hike or something like that.  Otherwise I have it on my finger.  I’m notorious for losing things (I swear to God some of my things have legs…) so if it’s not on my finger, it’s in The ring box.

ETA:  I should also add that I would take it off if I chose to do some actual excercise.  Which I don’t.

I wear my traditional Scandonavian ering (simple band without stones) ALL the time. Its silver though so it can handle a bit. Its all scratchy but I kind off like that 🙂 my Fiance is the same. All though he sometimes takes it off to cook extremely messy food. Otherwhise we just wash them extra careful when we wash our hands 🙂

The only time it comes off is when I soak it once per month and if I’m putting lotion on. Lotion is awful to clean out.

alhems2015:  No. Honestly, I forgot it the last 2 days. I don’t wear any jewelry at home. When I walk in form work I take everything off and have jewelry bowls for the stuff. Earrings, necklaces, watches, rings. All of it. So if I am in a rush in the mornings I will often forget my jewelry.

I never do hard work or kitchen work in it either. Even when I have been at friends homes and am helping make dinner I will at least take it off and either put it on a rings holder that most have by their sink or go put it in my wallet in my purse.

I know people who wear their rings 24/7 and I wouldn’t recommend it. You can break the prongs or lose a stone. It could also tarnish faster.  If you ask any jeweler they will caution you about wearing it bed or while showering, even if it is gold or platinum. I have the latter so it’s obviously a strong metal but I’d rather not chance it.

I don’t wear mine to bed. I take it off to shower, swim or to do any cooking or cleaning. I don’t wear it to the gym either.  Basically anything that might “hurt” the ring, I take it off. I have a little place on my bookshelf where I keep it at home. I also have a ring box in my purse just in case I need to take it off when I’m not at home. My ring is insured but I’d still be mortified if anything were to happen to it.

Everyone has a different opinion on it but I believe fully in the phrase, “Better safe than sorry!”

I wear it all the time! Gold and diamond should be able to withstand everyday use, and I don’t want to risk accidentally losing it. I do try to avoid getting it dirty while it’s on my finger though.

I take my rings off for showering, cooking (depending on what I’m cooking) and doing the dishes. Once I join the gym I’ll take them off when I go as I don’t want them to get stuck on my finger with my hand swelling with the heat!
