Hi Bees,
choosing a wedding ring to wear forever is so hard it seems. I have the most amazing E ring that was hand made for my FI’s Grandmother in 1920s ish in Hungrey. It is very simmilar to this but with sapphires around the outside.
And here is a far away shot on my hand

As it sits flush to my hand i can fit a band with it. SO I want to wear it on my right hand (it is stunning as a stand alone ring)
I have sort of fallen in love with really wide wedding bands4mm +
I even found a 9mm yellow gold (which im liking more and more normally im white gold) that fit perfcet and felt amazing on!! Circa 1900s $1100 It was like pigeon-noises see below

For Bees who have gone down the rings on differant hands, have you loved or regretted it?
I really want to be able to wear my wedding band ALL the time regardless of what im doing.
Advise please!!

I will most likely be wearing mine on different hands, or maybe just alternating them. Perhaps my e-ring will magically “become” my wedding ring, and I’ll also have a band to wear if I feel like it.
In my culture, people wear wedding rings on the right hand. So another possibility is that I could just wear a ring on each hand and cover all my bases 🙂
Here’s the e-ring. I think it could stand alone.

Possible/likely wedding band – as you can see, they don’t go together at all, lol! I don’t care; I like having options, and don’t really like stacking rings anyway.

Thats cute as!
Im of German back ground and i have read that the right hand is the one for the wedding band, so yeah i to though i’ll use that excuse for my reasoning lol.
A jeweller did tell me that if i had a very flat band he could put a notch under my ering so it would be more flush…. I just dont know what to do.
I really love the simplicity and symbol of a plain band but i want it to stand out. Or I just get the matching tungstan carbide ring to my Fiance.

I wear my e-ring on my left hand and my wedding band on my right hand all the time, occasionally wearing a right hand ring instead of my wedding band. People mistake me for engaged occasionally, but I’ve never regreted wearing them on separate hands. Granted, at some point I want a wide wedding band for my left hand that I can wear too (current one is too big for my left ring finger, only works on the right really), and put my e-ring on my left hand sometimes if I feel like it.

Well we decided on our bands and have ordered them!!! So excited!! These are what we went with.
Mine is 6mm and his is 8mm. I fit the ring to my summer swollen fingers and i think i will get a thin half eternity band to wear against it if it is too loose in the winter.

Not everyones cup of tea but i love the look for me. What do you think??

I’ve alway loved the idea of completely matching his and hers wedding bands, my great grandparents had matching wedding bands with a little engraving on them both. hers had 3 small diamonds and his had one larger one. I really love the symbol of a simple thicker band, great choice!

I’m not married yet, but I will be wearing Amy wedding ring on the left hand, and moving my engagement ring to my right hand. Well, that’s the plan right now at least!

Thats how i feel too. My Fiance said I can get whatever band i like (one to match my ering) but I really want matching and we both love these. And they are so affordable we can spend the money to repair the heirloom ering so I can wear in my right hand!!

I have been getting a bit of grief about choosing tungsten carbide rings (I am fully aware af all the pros and cons), some because its not a precious metal and gold/white gold are better. But this is what we can afford and to be honest the fact that they wont scratch is the biggest thing and I do ALOT with my hands. And can i just say My Band is the strongest metal on earth!! lol
I have size 8-9 fingers and Fiance has size 12 so even thiner gold bands would be way way too much for us.

I just got a simple thin 2mm white gold band from BlueNile for all of $115-$130, because like you, I will be wearing it everyday, including when I’m at the gym, showering, sleeping, on duty with the ambulance, working as a nurse etc etc
When my engagement ring comes, it will be a right hand ring for lazy days and special occasions! As is the case with my eternity ring 🙂

We are getting both rings for $130!! I thought about having a thin gold band but as the e ring is odd shape it wont sit flush I wanted something bold to wear solo!!
