I was wearing mine to bed every night, but when I went to have a prong fixed, the wonderful man who fixed my ring said that while it shouldn’t be a problem, it could cause prongs to wear out faster due to the way I sleep (with my ring hand under my pillow.) Now I keep it on a ring holder right next to my bed.

I don’t ever take mine off! I don’t trust myself to keep track of it if it’s not on my finger 🙂

ohana : Your ring is beautiful! Do you mind if I ask what metal your prongs are?

LilMsSunshine13 : Thank you so much, it is quite literally my prized possession! My prongs are platinum, and only two weeks old! But I had a sharp prong, and made the mistake of bringing it to a family friend, who not only filed it down way too far, he tried to fix his mistake with white gold and lied about it. I was mortified when I got it back and had to have the prong completely remade by a wonderful shop on the island which specializes in laser welding platinum. He told me I should be fine without removing it to sleep but it could cause unnecessary wear and tear because my setting is rather high to acommodate my wedding band when the time comes. So I have a little owl I keep my ring on now, and I stay away from family friends, lol!

I sleep with my plain wedding band on because I NEVER take that one off, but I take my Ering off and put it on my little ring holder. I flail and can just picture myself putting DH’s eye out with it or something.
