#2. Consistant lighting/expsoure, clean editing, nice style.

#2 definitely. #1 is great with posed shots, but #2 is more in-the-moment with their art, and you get 2 photographers so double the coverage and angles from which to choose. I am impressed that #1 does that all by herself, though.

@Treid25:  Before I look at the websites, have you met with either photographer to find out if your personalities click?

Based just on their work shown number 2. If you removed the images from number ones site and just looked at them on their own merit you’d think ainh!

Wow, I’m really surprised that #2 got so many votes…

I don’t think you can go wrong with either one.  But I just love #1.  They seem to get everything: great shots of little details, great posed shots that are super creative (hello?  The groomsmen and bridesmaids looking at the couple kiss?!  Too cute!), perfect “in the moment” shots full of emotion.  I get a great gut feeling with them.  They just seem to have more magic.  I’m not feeling anything too special with #2.

If they’ll give you two photographers too (which you definitely need), I’d pick #1.  Good luck!

@Treid25:  The reason I say you definitely need 2 photographers is because I’m heavily biased towards that.  I’m a filmmaker, so I know the importance of coverage.  For something like your wedding, it’s only one day.  You’re not going to remember 3/4 of it.  The photos are the only thing you’re going to have.  There are some things that just aren’t possible to capture with only 1 photographer, like getting a picture of you walking down the aisle AND your fiance’s reaction.  It’s up to you, but I would strongly suggest it especially since it’s only $300 more.  That’s peanuts in the big scheme of things.

One last thing, my brother recently got married and had 2 photographers.  In the hundreds of photos they took, there is only 1 of me with my fiance.  If they had only 1 photographer, chances are they’d spend most if not all their time focusing on the bride and groom, and there wouldn’t even be that 1 photo.

That second photographer can run around the room and grab photos of details while one stays with you and the groom.  It’s more efficient, less stress on the photographer, and a better value for the money you’re spending on capturing your wedding memories.

Okay, ONE last thing, LOL!  If money is the issue, see if the second photographer can only cover 4 hours instead of the full 6.  Once the dancing starts, you won’t need as much coverage.

@Treid25:  I’m so sorry to hear about your parents.  I can’t imagine…I’m sincerely sorry for your loss.

You really can’t go wrong with either company.  Follow your gut, but get the 2 photographers.  😉
