It definitely sounds like he’s been doing a little research! How in the world would he know something like that unless he had visited the store recently??

Hmmm….there could be something going on. Also, maybe he’s talked to other guys who’ve been jewelry shopping recently and he listened extra-carefully to their conversations since he knew he’s be buying soon 🙂

If your guy’s anything like mine, he wouldn’t know anything about different jewelers unless he had done research.  I don’t think most guys just randomly pick up this sort of information.

Most people in general don’t pay that close attention to what is being said in commercials, and if its not even mentioned in the ad….yeah, he is totally doing some digging. Good sign!! 🙂

Don’t hate me for playing Devil’s Advocate here, because I’d really like ot to mean he’s been shopping, but just in case:  Does he possibly work with anyone or ahve any friends who would know such information, who may have had a piece of jewelry need to be repaired?  I hear all sorts of random information at my workplace, so while it’s unlikely that he overheard a discussion about jewelry warranties from co-workers or possibly recently engaged friends, it’s not 100% improbable. Also, knowing you’re waiting for an e-ring (y’all have talked, I think, right?), he wouldn’t be buying you another type of jewelry for Christmas, would he?  Another reason to know about jewelry stores.

Not trying to dash your hopes, just don’t want you to get excited and it turn out not to be an engagement.

Sounds like my FH.  He would do his research & know who had the best warranty & probably look for coupons as well.

Yay exciting. I didn’t actually know that about Peoples. I have a goregous necklace from there that my bf got me for xmas a couple years ago. I would just like to let you know though, not to be the bearer of bad news. People’s overcharges for the quality you will get. They usually only carry I1-I2 diamonds. Although they usually are canadian. So if you are by anymeans into a nice clarity and color you might want to tell the bf that now! But I know lots of woman who don’t care either way, afterall its more about the symbol then the actual ring itself.
