I’m doing my own flowers and I’m curious if anyone has experience with BOTH companies (so I can do a compare/contrast) or very good/very bad experiences with either company.
If we use fiftyflowers I’ll be ordering garden roses and hydrangea, if we use whole blossoms I’ll be ordering peonies and garden roses, so any experience with ordering those specific flowers would also be great.
Thanks in advance!!

@xlsm: I am using 2G roses. (Freshroses.com) They seem to be the cheapest. I notice they don’t have the flowers you want during my wedding date, but they may have them available for march. I have been in contact with one woman from the company and they seem to have good customer service. I can’t say if the flowers will be good, but i will say that I read about the company in the Bridal bargains book and they have given them a good rating for years of updating the book. You can check them out at the very least… hope that helped a little…

@nl: Thank you! I will check them out.

@xlsm: I’m using Costco (I’ve used them for flower arrangements before) because their flowers are always amazing and the cost is great, just not a ton of variety. I’ve heard other bees say that they’ve had good luck with Sam’s Club, but I don’t have any personal experience with them (I don’t shop at Walmart or Sam’s Club).

@housebee: I plan to get some regular roses and petals from Sam’s Club (we live near walmart home office – it’s a big deal around here), just the “fancier” flowers elsewhere. Thank you so much for your recommendation!!!

I only ordered rose petals from fiftyflowers, but they were big and fresh. I liked how you can mix and match flowers. They delivered right when they should, and it was nice that they actually called to confirm that we received the flowers. Ordered everything else from Sam’s club.

I used both and had problems with whole blossums. They ocntacted me exactly one week before the wedding to let me know they would not have my color of ranunculus available. It was a hassle back and forth to substitute a different flower. I eneded up getting my ranunculus form fiftyflowers at the last minute. I also ordered hypericum berrries from whole blossum that got stuck in customs so they didn’t arrive until the day before the wedding instead of two days before.
I can’t say I would reccomend whole blossums. Fifty flowers was great and so was the American Floral Distrubutors (I am not sure if they are open any more though) were great.

I ordered half of my flowers from FiftyFlowers and half from Costco.
Flowers from FiftyFlowers were amazing!!! Beautiful, wrapped nicely, and delivered perfectly.
Costco sucked, big time. The flowers were limpy and half of them were wrapped and the other half weren’t – it was just a mess and a total disappointment. I couldn’t even use the flowers since they were in such bad shape. Many others have had good experiences though, so you just never know.
I would definitely divide up your order so you’re not putting all your eggs in one basket, per se.

Thank you ladies!! FiftyFlowers was my first choice, but Whole Blossoms was about $40 cheaper on the Juliet roses I wanted, and I could get the peonies, but I think I’ll just go with my first thought on this and use FF for the garden roses and Sam’s Club for the basics. I appreciate everyone’s input!
@ieatunicorns: Thank you so much for your opinion and for sharing your experience! That’s exactly what I was hoping for — someone who’d used both.
