I hate finding out I made a mistake after I already ordered something! Here’s what happened to me:

I ordered my invitations a couple months ago and made sure to look over them for any errors. I had my fiance look over them too, but he didn’t find anything. A few days ago I was putting together an invitation sample when I noticed something wrong. Fiance and I are getting married at St. Mary’s Chapel, a small and historic chapel in the city. We are having a non-denominational ceremony, even though most of FI’s family is Catholic. Well, the typo was that instead of saying St. Mary’s Chapel, the invite said St. Mary’s Cathedral! Once I saw this I burst out laughing! I could just imagine his Catholic family rolling up to this tiny chapel expecting a cathedral. Needless to say, I’m having the invitations corrected.

I put the wrong RSVP date the lovely ladies here, said for me to just be viligent for the people who have not responded.

Buttttt that is a smidge of a big deal. You could reprint them? or put FYI on your website if you  had put one on your website if you had one.

Well, I’m not exactly sure if this would work or if it would even exist/be practical-but what about a stamp? Like one of those stamps that you make that say “please RSVP by this date”

That might work without using index cards.

@Paigers91 – such a great idea!  And you can find the cutest custom stamps on Etsy for under $20.  I’d definitely go with that idea, you can put it on the envelopes.

We are getting married in Dominican Republic and spelt Dominican wrong! Didn’t notice it until after the invites were out. So many people proof read them and didn’t notice. One of those things that when you know what it’s supposed to say you don’t see the mistake. Oh well! Hopefully not too many guests noticed.

I accidentally ordered my invitations thinking of the number of guests instead of the number of households! I have about 80 extra suites–thinking of creative uses for them LOL x) *facepalm* is right!

haileatyourgirl :  busybee200717 :  I did the same! Could have said SO much money but what’s done is done. I’m thinking of making a scrapbook and using the invitation backs as frames?
