I’m a FL Resident and they have a $99 Special for a one nights admission, one night at a Universal Partner Hotel & a free photo. This is a pretty good deal for me & my husband, but was wondering if it was THAT good of a time?
Do they still have all rides open? And most importantly – can you wear costumes? I’m pretty sure I just read somewhere that you can’t.
Any info would be appreciated! I know it’s not Halloween yet but I like to plan in advance 🙂 Thank you!!

Hi! I haven’t been to Horror Nights in about 7+ years but it is worth going at least once and that is a heck ova deal! Things may have changed but they typically have all the good rides open, which is awesome to ride the roller coasters at night! I remember seeing people dressed up, but again that was a few years back and it seems every year there is a new rule. It does get crowded, more so closest to Halloween I believe and on the weekend. I recommend it, and the hotels on property are REALLY nice.

I went through High School and College, until they switched it to Islands of Adventure. It was lame that year and I decided not to go anymore, although now I hear they do it in both parks or something.
As far as I can remember, all the rides are open, although roller coasters are shut down at 10pm because of noise ordinances. Also, I am pretty sure you cannot wear costumes and I never knew anyone who did.
In any case, I haven’t been in about 4 years, but we used to have a great time. You can drink and get scared. Always fun. Also, if they still do a Bill and Ted show (and it’s a shame if they don’t), you must go. They were my favorite part every year.
Oh, and it’s way more fun if a group of people go together. I don’t think I could get into it if it were just me and my husband.

I have and try to go every year. I will go this year! It is so much better with a group of people. The rides are open and you can drink and have fun!

I haven’t been in quite some time but I remember it being a blast and there wasn’t really any lines for the rides.. yay! It sounds like an awesome deal!

I went and it was super fun! I was, however, pretty drunk so the “horror” part wasn’t there as much.

I’ve gone pretty much every year. It’s fun- but I definitely recommend spending money on the fast pass so you don’t spend a good majority of the evening standing in lines.
I’ve never dressed up for it and I believe you aren’t supposed to. The hotels are nice at Universal though- and if yall are looking for a fun weekend away- I think it’d be a good deal, especially considering the price of the room. And in October, yall could still enjoy the pool and such during the day and then do HHN at night!

I’m pretty sure its a safety issue so they don’t let you dress up.
I always thought it was fun but check the theme. For example one year it was clowns and clowns just don’t scare me so it was kinda lame that year.
Where did you hear about that deal? That really isn’t a bad price if it includes a hotel.

We went in 2008 and had a good time, but it was PACKED! We waited in lines for up to an 1 1/2 for a couple, and didn’t make it to all the houses. They have a fast pass type of thing, which I would do next time. It would be worth it. I don’t remember the rules for costumes, but I didn’t see anyone dressed up other than the people working.

That sounds so fun! I don’t have any info but I’d want to go 🙂
