(Closed) Whos Name Goes First??? (Engraving Cake/Knife Set)

Traditionally, the bride’s name always goes first, prior to the marriage and the groom’s name goes first after the marriage, but I have seen it both ways. Also, traditional engraving on the serving set, toasting flutes, etc. is just the first names and the date.

I had the same question and looked it up one day. The answer I found was traditionally the brides name goes first and since after your married you’re known as Mr. and Mrs. [his name] that it’s only right that your name goes first. I thought that was both funny and a good point. I try to do a mix though because I feel like I’m leaving him out.
