Our response cards are just coming in, but his side will far out weigh mine. His family is HUGE and everyone lives here whereas my family is small and scattered throughout the country.

Mine is way bigger. I have almost 100 and he has about 30. He is an only child with only a couple aunts and uncles, and maybe one or two cousins. We don’t have tons of friends that we would like to invite…just a handful of best friends that we keep in contact with. My family is huge and they take up about 85 people from my side of the list so I am really only inviting about 20 friends (including their children as well.)

We are getting married in my hometown, so for all of my FI’s family it will be a destination wedding. I wish all of his family would come, but the reality is that a lot won’t be able to go.

Mine, simply because he’s from another country.

We ended up inviting 177.  I’d say that, even attributing the mutual friends as my guests, I have 30 or so, and the rest is his.

His family is HUGE, so his by far, since we have to invite all of them. Friends-wise, we are about equal on our numbers.

My Fiance definitely has more people on his “side”. I have a pretty small family and a small circle of friends. He has a huuge family!

Mine by far… My family is huge both on my dad and my mom side. And they are most likely to come since the wedding will be in France. His family is much smaller, with quite a few nut cases that are not being invited, thay will have to travel a lot further with very young kids sometimes. We are going to help them out if they want to come (arrange accomodation, pay for meals…) but it is still pretty unlikely that lots of them will come which is killing me 🙁

We’re inviting 210. I’d say about 170 are my side, 10 are his side and the rest are mutual friends.

Yikes. We are deff going with “open seating”! 😀

We are definitely having ‘open seating’ as FI’s entire family is from the UK, and we are gettting married in Canada where my family is from. I am actually surprised there are so many Brits coming over for the wedding – it really means a lot to him! There will be 10 of them (not including us), and we are having a small 60-ish wedding.

The shoe is definitely going to be on the other foot though when we have our English reception though! My parents will be the only ones flying over for that (if they can afford it by then that is! :))

We were close to even in the invites, but he’s had a lot more nos then me so far. It looks to be even within about 20 people though 🙂

Fiance has over 40 people in his family (aunts, uncles, nephews, niece, first cousins)…I have 6.   The rest as far as friends, co-workers, family friends is completely even…didn’t plan it that way, just happened.  I plan on having open seating for the ceremony so it doesn’t look so lopsided.
