Ours has been submitted. I thought it was a bit expensive for a simple announcement but oh well! LOL They got to make money I guess.

I wasn’t planning on it, but my Future Mother-In-Law decided it was necessary, so she can pay for it. 🙂

We put in an engagement announcement, but I don’t know if we’ll do a wedding announcement. Time will tell.

Future Mother-In-Law asked if we wanted one … we both declined. Who needs one when you have facebook!? 🙂

I e-mailed news releases and pics to our local newspapers for both our engagement and our wedding.  We received great coverage for free.  Since I was an older first-time bride, and I had spent many years seeing friends’, relatives’ and classmates’ announcements in the newspaper, this is something that actually meant quite a lot to me.

I’m sure my grandma will be disappointed that we aren’t, but…it’s money that we don’t need to spend, and no one reads the paper anymore.

we werent planning on it but because groom had a siezure before the wedding ceremony we made the front page in the metro section… so not really an announcement but a light article bout how even with the events of the day the wedding manage to go off smoothly after the groom got back from er…

I don’t think we will. We didn’t do an engagement announcement because we didn’t want people we don’t want coming to the wedding asking about the wedding.

Future Mother-In-Law may want us to do one, but as of right now, we’re undecided.

Future Mother-In-Law submitted one to her local paper, neither Fiance nor I have ever lived there… so I doubt that it was of interest to anyone. Also after asking me for a lot of information for it she failed to include my grandmother’s name.

@LittleRiver:  I’m not. My Future Mother-In-Law asked me to submit one and I was told her “no way”.  I love that it is the first thing you read in the paper.
