My hubby (29) and I (24) got married in March and have been using the good ol’ pull out method since. We weren’t trying for a baby til December, but last month I was a week late and got my hopes up so now we’ve moved up our ttc date to NOW! 🙂 We started trying last week so send me some baby dust this way..
How long have you been trying to conceive? How old are you guys? How long have you been married? Is this your first baby? Tell me allll about it!!

Ok just so you’re not left hanging with no replies 🙂 plus I like talking all things TTC I may be a tad obsessed 😛
We have just started our 6th cycle (should be ovulating tomoro whoo :)), we actually put TTC off by 6 months compared to what we were saying when we first got engaged as we decided to go travelling early this year and I didn’t want to be pregnant while travelling – my Darling Husband has been ready to TTC since our wedding thou. I was on depo until Oct last year (our original start date before we postponed) so I am a little concerned that might be playing into why it is taking longer than I’d hoped (I was thinking 3-4 months TTC and I’d be done hehe wishful thinking).
I am 31 and Darling Husband is 32 (33 later this year) and we celebrated our first anniversary yesterday – it will be awesome if this is our month as it would be possible we conceived while away for our anniversary. And if – no when – we get pregnant it will be the first baby for both of us.
As a random thing both of our mums have separately told us they have had a dream that we were pregnant with twin boys… Hmmmm I can’t wait to find out if that comes true – I just think it is funny they both had the same dream 🙂
Anyway if you are ever interested in charting join the charters thread – it is very fast moving but they are really helpful and listen to crazy vents that TTC cause 🙂 also each month we have a POAS group – an August one hasn’t been started yet (as far as I am aware) but we have a July one… Again it is a good place to chat to others in the crazy world of TTC 🙂
Welcome and try to enjoy the process 🙂
Wow long reply hehehe

Ok, I’ll share! 🙂 We are on our first cycle of TTC. I was out of town for THREE weeks without my husband and when I got home we had to wait until I got my period- I was pretty impatient to hurry up and have it, then get it over with so we could start trying! I am kinda bursting to tell SOMEONE that we’re TTC, but we are keeping it super secret/private until we actually conceive. My dad stopped by our house while we were gone and I was super upset because I left my pre-natal vitamins on the kitchen counter and he might have seen them. Anyways, in terms of actually making it happen, we are not doing any charting/temping/ovulation predictor kits, etc. I keep track of when I had my period and then just estimate when I ovulate- my period is pretty regular so I think this is fine for now. If nothing happens for six months or so maybe we’ll get a little more into those things- so far this month we are just having lots of sex, especially leading up to and around my estimated day of ovulation, and I’m not getting up for about 20 minutes or more afterwards. I’m 31 and my husband is 28. We’ve been together for six years and married for almost two years. We live in Alaska and do lots of outdoor things together. It will be the first baby for both of us; I have never been pregnant and I am super excited to hopefully BE pregnant soon! We just went backpacking and pretty much talked about names and how fun it will be to tell our families for hours on end- just light-hearted things. We are making an effort to be easy-going about TTC and keeping it fun!

We are on our third cycle of TTC, I will be testing in a couple of days!
Coming off BC made my cycles really weird, long and I had no idea what was going on so I decided to start charting, it is amazing knowing what your body is up to I highly recommend it! The charters thread and POAS threads are also full of lovely supportive women if you need any kind of advice along the way…
I am 27 and my Darling Husband is 31- This would be our first baby, we are so super ready and almost too excited- we talk about it almost everyday! We have names picked out and everything lol
Ours is a big love story—We both come from different countires, it was tricky at times but we made it work…we live in Switzerland now. We have been together 9 years!!! and married for 3/ almost 4 of those years….We are well and truly ready for the next chapter and to be a family! I am so excited to see Darling Husband as a Daddy, he is going to be the absolute best.
Goodluck to you, hope to see you around on the other boards!

I can play too!!
This is our first cycle of actually TTC! We’ve been NTNP since we got married in February.
I am 29 and my hubs is 33 and this will be our first child. I love that we are both equally excited for this baby! This weekend is my POAS day (I’m trying to decide if I’ll wait for AF to be late or just try on Friday anyway) and last night my hubs said to me “You should go get one of those sticks where you can find out early!” He’s going to be such an awesome dad, he’s so great with our nieces and nephews! I am already a little stressed about affording me being on mat leave for a year (in Canada you get a year of “paid” mat leave. Essentially its 55% of your wage up to a certain amount, my problem is I make a lot more than the max amount so its more like 30% of my wage!) but I’m sure we’ll make it work!

@MrsRichard: yay for bumping up ttc! Darling Husband and I are both 24, been together 7 years married for almost a year! Darling Husband and I were in a similar Situation. I thought I was pregnant in February while on BC and Darling Husband and I decided we wanted to really be pregnant so I went off BC in March. Got pregnant in April first cycle off BC. We were ecstatic. Went in for our 12 week scan and found out I had miscarried around 7 weeks. It was so heartbreaking. I had a D&C on june 13 and got my period exactly a month later on july 13. My Dr. said to wait for one regular period so that worked out. My O date is this Saturday and we are hoping and praying to get pregnant quickly again and that this baby sticks. Fingers crossed for everyone on this thread!!

Hey everyone! I’m 26 and Darling Husband is 29 and we have been married for 2 months today! This is our second cycle ttc. Darling Husband already has a son (2.5 y/o) who lives with us half the time. I just can’t wait to be a mommy. Sometimes I feel a little alone in this TTC stuff because Darling Husband is already a dad, so I feel like it doesn’t mean as much to him. (which Darling Husband says isn’t true at all, I just get a little crazy sometimes!) Anyways, I hope this month is it for all of us!

@MrsAKSkier: How exciting, I hope you’re pregnant! My hubby has been working a really off shift right now so we haven’t had tons of time for sex :-/ but the four times we were able to were around the time I ovulated (I too am just estimating like you) We might be moving to Alaska next year! It sounds like you guys like it! Good luck baby making!! 😉
@swissbride: Switzerland! I bet it’s beautiful. Knowing your husband is gonna be a great father is one of the most exciting parts of this whole pregnancy thing! I can’t wait to see him with our baby!
@AbBeeRoad: My husband has asked me to pee on a stick constantly! haha I took a test this morning, but kept telling him there is no way it’ll come up positive if we only conceived seven days ago! I’ll take another one in a week! On another note, how cool that Canada pays 50% amazing!
@bouncybee: Congrats on getting married!!! I love that you want a huge family, how fun! Good luck making a baby this month!! 😉
@lalalalauren: I’m so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, I keep hearing about how common it is and it really scares me! I hope you conceive again soon and I pray this baby comes to full term! I bet you guys will just love this baby to pieces :)) Good luck!!!
@phillylove49: Oh I bet he is totally excited, sure he already has a child, but this one will be with you.. the love of his life! I bet he can’t wait!!
I hope we’re all knocked up as I type this! haha good luck ladies and please let us know when it happens!!

Hi there and best of luck TTC! Darling Husband and I are both 23. We’ve been married since October 2012 (so about 9.5 months), and TTC our first baby since the beginning of January. I’m currently taking prenatals and an omega-3 supplement with vitamin D-3. I had recently started temping (within the past three months), but due to lots of traveling this summer, it has been hard to ensure accuracy. Usually, we BD every 2-3 days or so, but agreed way before we started TTC that we didn’t want to take away from our intimate life by trying to make it all about having a baby.
Hopefully, we all have some wonderful news soon! Best wishes to all!

Hi! We are not technically trying to conceive but we are on our 3rd cycle of not trying to prevent it 😉 I am 36 and Darling Husband is 42. This would be our first and only (due to our ages) baby for both of us. Darling Husband has always said that if we were meant to have a baby then we would, so I finally said that if that’s how he felt then we should truly leave it up to God and I should stop taking my BCP. He agreed that that made sense with his philosophy and so I went off in May. It has been interesting to see how my body is returning to normal but it has been frustrating too. I did not experience any boob soreness when I was on the pill so in June when they got super sore I was excited to think that I was pregnant. but alas AF showed up right on time. It did make me realize that I wasn’t as indifferent to being pregnant as I thught. It was a big disappointment to me when AF arrived. So this month during my ovulation time Darling Husband and I BD’ed every other day. This has only turned me into a super symptom stalker though and I am trying to steel myself for another disappointment. I should know by SundaY when AF is due to Return. I took a HPT today resulting in a BFN. So for now ill just have to wait and see! Thanks for this post!, I needed it 🙂

We are on our second cycle TTC but also second cycle off of BCP, so I wasn’t expecting anything to happen last month.
This would be our first child and I AM SO EXCITED AND LOVING THE PROCESS!!!

@MrsRichard: Goodluck to you and DH!! TTC can be fun and also stressful! Try not to put too much pressure on yourselves and have fun with it ;). As far as miscarriages go yes unfortunately they are super common. You just have to remember to stay positive and know there is nothing you can do to prevent them especially if you are already leading a healthy life. FX! When does everyone POAS this month?? (August). I will be next week on August 5th!
@lalalalauren: I’ll be testing around August 15th. Hoping this is the cycle! Best of luck to you!
