I remember being crushed my first month trying. No matter how many times I told myself how *unlikely* it was (and I’ve charted since first trying), the idea that it could happen to up to 25% of women in my age group kept dancing in my head. I kept saying, “That could be me! I could be the 1 in 4!”
But I also started trying as soon as I came off of birth control, and my cycles were regulating. Two days after coming off, my period came early. My first full month TTC, my period again came a few days early. Last month, I really started seeing change, as my luteal phase was finally at least 10 days long.
I think that this month will be my month, although by this point I’ve gotten into a rhythm when it’s not. I think my luteal phase will probably be 11 or 12 days (it keeps getting longer), my cycle staying to at least 28 – 30 days. The only possible obstacle is that we may be moving around the time of my fertile window, but…we’ll make it work. π
But, MrsRichard, I’ve heard of people getting positive tests at 18 or 21 DPO…so, you never know if you’re late.
Hello, i will share my TTC experience thus far…..I am 31 and DH is 33. We were NTNP since October, 2011 and started to atually “try” in August, 2012. I did everything, from charting/temping, using OPKs, analyzing CM and of course symptom spotting every TWW. We have now hit our 12th cycle and there is no baby. I am on my second round of IUI and are now waiting again on another TWW. Hopefully this is it and will be sharing a bfp with the rest of the bees. If we do conceive this cycle our EDD will be April 24, 2014. Our two year annyversary is April 21st! eek!! I hope we do get pregnant and I, from the bottom of my heart, wish you the best on this journey! It might not always be easy, you might get your hopes up and down again, you might cry every time AF shows, but just know that at the end of it all, it will all be worth it! FX π
Hello ladies- I just tested this morning and got a BFN. I also told myself that I wouldn’t be disappointed and it probably wouldn’t happen so quickly anyway…but I am a little let down- getting a BFP on the first cycle would’ve been so cool! My period is due on Wednesday so I know that it’s not over ’til it comes, but I’m gearing up to have fun trying again! Besty luck to all you ladies that are trying again this month and to those of you waiting to test!!!
Ladies, I went out and got the book everyone keeps recommending, “Taking Charge of Your Fertility” I literally read the whole thing in one day, I totally recommend it, very informative! I also got this PreSeed stuff so we’ll see if that help! Can’t wait to be fertile! hahah
I’m ttc right now! I’m 23 and have poly cystic ovarian syndrome, do any of you have that? We’ve been trying naturally for 3 months, and no luck yet. I’m trying not to get discourged but it seems all my friends just exchange looks and wind up pregnant! It’s hard not to get frustrated
Hi ladies. DH and I just celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary and have been TTC for 5 cycles. The first cycle or two we didn’t do much different, then we started trying to chart (can I just say how much I SUCK at temping?), and last cycle we used preseed. This cycle I used OPKs and suprise suprise.. I ovulate a good 2 weeks after Fertile Friend was predicting. Right now I am 5DPO and of course everything is a symptom of pregnancy- yesterday, I had symptoms of a UIT and today I stayed home from work sick with a headcold. Probably I am just sick but I am definitely getting my hopes a little too high up :/
I hope this one is my lucky cycle but if not I look forward to having friends while TTC!
