Started last night! We did our first BD and I am so excited.

My DH and I are both 30 and have been together for seven years in October, married for 16 months. I have been off of BCP for well over a year in preparation and been taking prenatals and fish oil supplements for about 6-8 months. In other words we are ready!

Hi Ladies,

We aren’t officially trying until Dec. BUT I noticed we aren’t really being careful either. I am 32 and he is 34 so….. any time would be great.

We are just a weird situation because we work on ships, so DH isnt a citizen yet, we dont own a home yet in the states. If I were to get pregnant we would both have no work for 6 to 8 months while he is become a citizen (we do have nice savings though, no debt, and his field pays well and is very much in demand). I dont have health insurance and have no problem getting it,  but I dont know what state to get it in? What else…..I dont take the best care of myself right now beccause it is a very stressful job and hard to eat right etc. on a ship.

BUT I WANT A BABY(a few) and am running low on time!

Welcome to my world of stress. But following everyone else’s story helps. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, for everyone taking pre-natals. I am too….  but should I ad the fish oils etc.

@nonapkns:  Fish oil (with DHA) is crucial for a baby’s brain and eye development. Even if you aren’t TTC it is a great supplement to help with heat function, immune support and has even been tested to apply to cancer prevention (no clincial data yet).

It is recomended that pregnant women take between 200 mg to 300 mg of DHA daily.

I work for a dietary supplement company. THIS is a very popular and highly recommended formulation for pregnant women.

@MrsRichard:  My Fiance and I have been TTC since december of last year… so 8ish cycles. But! He works Out of Town, like home for 7 days, working for 7 days then back, so we easily have missed some cycles… technically. However he recently started a job in town! So hopefully something will happen for us soon ๐Ÿ™‚ I just keep track of my period and use an ovulation predictor app. I haven’t looked at it in a while though. I’m 20 and he’s 23. I’ve always wanted to start young for a few reasons.

1. We’re more than financially stable for our age. $150,000+ per year, we both own brand new vehicles and have decent jobs, we’re just saving for a house and a wedding!

2.We’ve lived together for 3/4 years we’ve been together, and we’re both secure in our relationship.

3. My sisters are 9 years older than me(twins) and they are both married with kids, so I’ve had baby fever pretty much since I was 18 haha

4.I still want to be somewhat young when my children are grown (40s).. I know a family that had their one and only child when they were in the late 30s, the dad will be 60ish at her grad. Thats weird to me haha

5. I want to be a mother. I feel it would be the most rewarding job.

ETA:6. I remember when I first started dating my now Fiance, It was april 2009, so we hadn’t been together even 2 months, and on April Fools I told him I was prego (I was such an evil teenager), we hadn’t had sex together yet. And I remember him being like “Does this mean we’re breaking up… cause I don’t want that..” haha I knew from that moment we were destined for eachother. We also had a scare later in our relationship.. I was 16 or 17, and while we were waiting for the test he said something like “Well if it is positive, really it’s just earlier than we planned…”. Pretty much the best person in the world.
