@simpleandchic- yeah… we definintely lucked out. Funny how no matter how little junk food I try to keep in my house, there’s always more of THAT then something actually good for me. Go figure. I went through all the trouble of having a deviled egg binge two days ago! Do you KNOW how much work making deviled eggs is?!

Yeah, I’m so NOT and I know that’s terrible. I just keep eating and eating actually. Not good.

I am!

I’ve been working my butt off this past week. Running on the treadmill really helps let out some frustration because my lips must stay sealed until year end.

Good luck to all of the bees.

I discovered yoga just in time!  I was stressing at one point and decided to focus on myself, so I decided to get in the best shape of my life.  I’m not quite there, but I’ve definatley picked up some good habits along the way.

bella – i wish! if i weren’t at my job 10+ hours a day, i would totally be working out more. i hate the gym, but we’re actually having pretty awesome weather in NY these days, but sadly i am always too tired or too busy to take advantage of it. but it’s part of my longer term “someday we’re getting married and i should probably start dropping some pounds” plan!

@trugem – Fingers crossed for ya!

@Miss Sydney – I just got it yesterday so I’ve only done it once but yes it is DEFINITELY better than Wii Fit.  It has much more of a flow.  You can do preset workouts, design your own, or do a 30-day challenge.  I just started the 30-day challenge which I really like because it alternates muscle groups and gradually gets harder.  It also factors in rest days for you and tracks all your progress.  It even shows you how many calories you’re burning as you’re doing the exercise.  It’s very motivating and much less snarky than the Wii Fit lol.  My Wii Fit is always telling me I have balance issues and asks if I find myself tripping over my feet a lot (of course that is totally true but I don’t need a game to remind me I’m a total spaz lol)

on a side note- I’m super jealous that you live in Australia, I’d love to visit there someday.

Me three… but… we’re going to Cancun in a few months so I want to look good in a bikini… and in case he proposes there. Not likely, but a girl can dream!

Working out, but not for a proposal or the wedding; just because I want to be healthy and look nice being healthy.  But… it would be nice not to worry about fitting into my wedding gown.

I am getting back to eating healthier. This fall I had been drinking a lot of soda and eating out a ton (pizza, wings, mexican, etc.). I also started a new BC pill and before I knew it I had gained 8 pounds even though I was still working out pretty regularly. I started lifting again last week since when I lift I notice the most improvements in my body and fitness level!

Ughhh I sooo want to start lifting weights, I feel like I need someone to help me at first though or tell me what to do. Its so intimidating with all those big, grunting men 🙁

I love bodybuilding.com. The forums have a whole section on weight lifting for women. The home page also has links to guides for beginners. I also use fitday.com to track my activity and calories.

Hahaha, honeybear you would not want to workout at a gym with my BF.  He is a professional strongman, (those guys that you see on TV pulling the trucks and stuff!)  Try not to be set back by those big guys, most of them are big teddy bears!  I love lifting weights, it’s a great way to relieve stress!  Good Luck!
