My two boys are walking me down the aisle.

I do like the idea of both your parents walking you down, that way your mom gets in on the action too.  In the end you need to do what you are most comfortable with.  Visualilze walking down alone, with just your dad, and then with both mom and dad.  Which scenario “feels” the best?

My brother is walking me down the aisle, the man who fathered me has never been a part of my life

Both of my parents walked me down the aisle. My Dad loved that my Mom got some of the attention, my Mom loved that she wasn’t “just a guest” and I loved that I could have both of my parents supporting me as I joined our family with my husband’s!

My husband had both parents walk him down the aisle as well, it was really cohesive and great!

I was dead set on walking myself down the aisle because I was giving myself away.  At the very last minute, like the day of the wedding, I changed my mind because I felt guilty.  I’m the only child that either of my parents would ever be able to walk down the aisle, so I had them walk with me because I knew it would mean a lot to them.

My brother is walking me down the aisle & then assuming his role as Best Man!

My mom is still deciding if she’s going to join my brother in walking me down.  My dad is deceased, so it’s just the 3 of us and we’re very close.  I told my mom that it is her choice on whether or not to walk down too.  I’m going to let her decide that day depending on how emotional she’s feeling.  🙂
