so. stupid as hell, but my friends getting married in a few weeks (yay)well call her A
she wanted a song (uncle cracker smile) as her first dance song.
our other friend, well call B (who has been with her boyfriend about 2 yrs – not engaged or live together) said to my friend A that she can not use this as her first dance song because its her song.
this is ridiculous right? u cant dib a song – especially when your not even engaged or close to getting engaged.
Friend B told friend A about this song, so i guess thinks she has dibbs on it.
this is more a vent than anything else. lol. maybe i should use the song and suprise them all. hahaha!!!
i do feel for friend A as she had her heart on it. friend B is a bridesmaid in the wedding. what a weird situation….!!!!!
anyone else had such a weird/stupid request from someone???

B is absolutely wrong… A should ignore her and honestly if B is being that selfish when she’s not even engaged, A should take a closer look at their friendship. B sounds self centered and immature!

@nearlymarriedlass: There are quite a few posts of girls who are not engaged getting upset about another girl (engaged and planning their wedding) ‘stealing’ their colours, ideas etc. So I guess a song is in the same category.
Really, just use the song and tell the other girl to get over it.

@nearlymarriedlass: Your friends sound really lame. Friend B is ridiculous for making the request and friend A is stupid for even entertaining it.

Very selfish of B and I honestly can’t believe she had the *balls* to ever suggest A was in the wrong.

I’d avoid talking about it altogether, and use the song if that’s what A wants to do. Who the hell says you can’t have the same song?
